




<p><strong>Matt Smith</strong>, who plays <strong>Daemon Targaryen</strong>, has teased the release date of Season 2 of <strong>“House of the Dragon.” </strong>According to ScreenRant, the actor said in a podcast with the BBC that the series could return to script in August of this year.</p>



<p>While speaking on <strong>The Zoe Ball Breakfast Show,</strong> he was asked when the second season was coming out and he replied <em>“August, I think, I think summer. This summer, yeah. <strong>I’ve not seen any of it yet but we finished last year.”</strong></em></p>

<p>Of course, the <strong>official release date will be revealed by HBO soon</strong>, especially if that is indeed the release window for the series. <h2>Season 2 of House of the Dragon: Cast, plot and all the details</h2>



<p>The series was one of the few productions that didn’t shut down during Hollywood’s <strong>WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes.</strong> As the scripts were finished before the strikes and the majority of the cast consisted of <strong>UK actors working under local contract</strong>, they were able to go into production as scheduled.</p>



<p>Apart from the regular cast, which includes Smitt, Emma D’Arcy, Olivia Cooke, and Rhys Ifans, there are new members confirmed for Season 2. <strong>Gayle Rankin</strong>, Simon Russell Beale, <strong>Freddie Fox</strong>, and Abubakar Salim joined the series as Alys Rivers, Ser Simon Strong, Ser Gwayne Hightower and Alyn of Hull, respectively.</p>

<p>House of the Dragon, which serves as a prequel for Games of Thrones, is based on the book by <strong>George R. R. Martin</strong>. As we watched in the season’s finale, Rhaenyra Targaryen (D’Arcy) and Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) are on the brink of war.</p>
