The Tearsmith is one of the latest original romantic films from Netflix, which not only brings together great talents but also has everything from forbidden romance and secrecy to unexpected twists, suspense and drama.

The Italian production has been accumulating thousands of views in the last few hours, as it made its big debut in the catalog today and everything indicates that it could soon become one of the most-watched movies.

Will The Tearsmith get a sequel on Netflix?

The sensual gothic film that arrived on Netflix this morning and is based on the dark fantasy novel “Fabbricante di Lacrime” by Erin Doom, is proving to be a success in the catalog but it is still unknown if it will have a sequel.

It is still too early to know if The Tearsmith has been renewed, as the platform determines sequels based on multiple factors such as completion rate, production costs and number of viewers.

It is unlikely that the title will receive a second installment, because there is only one book. If it is renewed, the screenwriters will have to develop a story from scratch that connects well with the closed ending of the first.

The dark romance was starred by two young Italian talents: Simone Baldasseroni (better known as Biondo) and Caterina Ferioli, who bring to life Rigel Wilde and Nica, the tormented main characters.
