The Tearsmith is one of the great dark romance novels published in 2021 and became one of the best stories of the year, not only among young adult readers but also in the TikTok community.

Written by Erin Doom, the story follows Nica and Rigel Wilde, two young orphans who are willing to discover and accept their greatest fear: that there might be someone who can truly love us for who we are.

Netflix was the streaming giant that carried out its popular adaptation, which not only features the performances of Simone Baldasseroni and Caterina Ferioli as the protagonists but also has a soundtrack full of hits.

This doesn’t mean that there couldn’t be a sequel to the Netflix adaptation, but it’s a bit more complicated. Its renewal hasn’t been announced yet, but everything indicates that it could happen given the huge worldwide success of the movie.

What is The Tearsmith about? Official synopsis

In the orphanage where Nica grew up, stories and legends have always been told by candlelight. The most famous of all is that of the tearsmith, a mysterious artisan responsible for forging all the fears and anxieties that dwell in the human heart.

For Nica, it’s time to leave behind childhood tales and live what she sees as a dream come true: being adopted. But she won’t fulfill her dream alone, as the adoptive family will also welcome Rigel, a child with an angelic face but who hides something dark within him.

Although they share a common past, living together seems impossible for them. Especially when the legend reappears in their lives and the tearsmith becomes something very real.

How and where to buy The Tearsmith’s book

As with almost all popular novels, The Tearsmith can be found in two ways: in physical version or as an e-book. Both options are available through official sales websites and stores like Walmart or Target.

You can get either edition by visiting the websites of Amazon, Apple Books, Google Play Books, Kindle Store, Kobo, Audible and Barnes & Noble. You can also visit stores in person and get it there, if you do not want to wait for shipment.

The price in audiobook format usually doesn’t vary much depending on where you find it available, as it is priced at $12.99 in paperback. The hardcover edition may cost a little more, but it won’t make much difference.
