Several classics have been reappearing lately and Doctor Who has joined the list, announcing that it will be back on the screen with new protagonists and a story full of adventures, villains and aliens.
Ncuti Gatwa will be taking on the role of The Doctor during the nine episodes of the first season. However, David Tennant will also have some cameos in his former role but will only be present in three episodes.
Millie Gibson has been chosen to bring Ruby Sunday to life, accompanying the actor from Sex Education and Barbie as a co-lead. This time, the Time Lord travels through space and time with his companions, facing dangerous enemies.
When does Doctor Who premiere?
The 14th season of Doctor Who, the popular fantasy TV show, will premiere on May 10, 2024 for the United States. Meanwhile, it will arrive in the UK on May 11, according to BBC and other official sites.
This isn’t the first time Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson have taken on leading roles, but it will mark their official participation as The Doctor and Ruby Sunday within the franchise. Previously, they were in a Christmas special.
It is expected that the new story will bring with it more wild adventures, an imaginative premise, and the ability to explore social and moral themes, as well as a varied gallery of monsters and aliens.
Doctor Who Episode Guide
The new edition won’t be the last for Doctor Who, but quite the opposite, as it has been renewed for a Season 15, which will arrive at some point in 2025. In the meantime, we have to wait for Season 14 to arrive.
This season will consist of nine episodes, which will be released progressively, one per week. The first two installments will be released on Friday, but we’ll have to wait to watch the rest.

The new episodes of Doctor Who will be added to the Disney+ catalog in the United States, while in the UK, they are available on BBC iPlayer. Previous seasons of the series can also be watched through BritBox.
