Once again, the Time Variance Authority from the MCU fulfills fans’ wishes by resurrecting Wolverine. Or, more precisely, bringing Deadpool to a timeline where the mutant still breathes, before the events of “Logan”.
Marvel always finds a way to expand the stories of its most beloved superheroes (and villains) among its audience. “Deadpool and Wolverine” is no exception, as the iconic characters will have a movie of their own one more time.
As is well known, salaries within this universe are beyond human comprehension, especially for its main stars. In this case, Hugh Jackman and Ryan Reynolds, two of the most renowned actors within the company’s stories, have amassed considerable fortunes thanks to this film.
How much did Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman make for Deadpool and Wolverine?
Even for those who meticulously follow every Marvel release, the numbers presented here will be staggering. In comparison to recent box office megahits like “Barbie” and “Oppenheimer,” these salaries double, triple, and even quadruple those of Margot Robbie and Cillian Murphy.
Initially, one might assume that since both Jackman and Reynolds share the lead, their earnings would be equal. However, this is far from the case. According to Showbiz Galore, Ryan Reynolds will receive a paycheck of $30 million for reprising his role as Deadpool, while his co-star won’t be paid the same.
However, it’s worth noting that the disparity in earnings is due to the fact that Reynolds, in addition to acting, serves as a producer on the film. Hugh Jackman, who solely acts, will earn $20 million for his performance.
As is customary with Marvel productions, the remaining cast members are significantly underpaid compared to the hefty sums given to the leads. Here, you can find the complete cast salary for “Deadpool and Wolverine.”
