The track is seeing a measurable resurgence on streaming platforms following the release of the new biographical film centered on the late pop star.

According to Pop Base on X, the song has entered the Global Spotify chart at No. 149 with 1.52 million streams, marking a fresh moment of visibility for one of Jackson’s most debated works.

A Protest Anthem Finds New Streaming Momentum

Originally issued in 1996 as part of the album HIStory: Past, Present and Future, Book I, “They Don’t Care About Us” stands apart within Michael Jackson’s catalog as a direct, confrontational piece shaped by themes of injustice and institutional failure. Its tone, driven by percussive rhythms and chant-like refrains, positioned it as both a commercial release and a statement track at the height of his global influence.

The song’s history is inseparable from the controversy that surrounded it upon release, particularly in the United States, where scrutiny over specific lyrics prompted public clarification and revisions. Even so, it performed strongly across international markets, reaching the top tier of European charts while maintaining a more muted peak domestically. Over time, its reputation has shifted, often resurfacing in periods of social unrest and protest movements.

That pattern of renewed relevance appears to be repeating. The arrival of “Michael,” directed by Antoine Fuqua, has placed Jackson’s music back into active circulation among both long-time listeners and newer audiences. While the film focuses primarily on his rise from the Jackson 5 era through the Bad tour, its broader cultural footprint has translated into increased attention across his discography.

Beyond its chart movement, the song remains one of Jackson’s most enduringly discussed recordings, supported by widely viewed visuals directed by Spike Lee and a legacy that extends into live performance, remix projects, and protest-era reinterpretations.

The studio is beginning to sketch out the future of its most reliable action property.

In a recent interview with Business Insider, speaking around the release of “Michael,” chairman Adam Fogelson offered a measured update on where “John Wick 5” stands and how the broader franchise is evolving.

A New Direction Emerges for ‘John Wick 5’

“There are a lot of steps, so I wouldn’t want to put a timeline on it. But in terms of finding a core idea, they seem to have landed on something that they are excited about, and now we’ll see,” Fogelson said, describing where director Chad Stahelski and Keanu Reeves are in shaping the next installment. After years of speculation following “John Wick: Chapter 4,” it looks like the creative team has finally identified a central idea worth pursuing.

That sense of forward movement marks a shift for a sequel that has long been defined by caution. Early plans once pointed toward back-to-back production with the fourth picture, but Stahelski ultimately chose to create distance between chapters, allowing time to reassess the story and avoid repetition.

In the years since, development has continued in fits and starts, with the script undergoing multiple revisions as the filmmaker worked to ensure the next chapter justifies its place in a series known for constant escalation.

In the meantime, Lionsgate is not waiting on “John Wick 5” to keep the universe active. A spin-off centered on Donnie Yen’s Caine is moving ahead, with the project expected to explore the aftermath of the “Chapter 4” closing moments. Another project taking shape is an animated prequel that will delve into Wick’s past, specifically the “impossible task” that allowed him to leave the assassin world behind.

Taken together, the slate suggests that “John Wick 5” will arrive as part of a broader ecosystem rather than as a standalone event. For now, the priority remains the same: ensuring that when the next chapter does move forward, it does so with a concept strong enough to carry the weight of what has come before.

The literary adaptation finds its streaming home after a strong theatrical run.

Warner Bros. has set a streaming date for its latest prestige release, confirming that “Wuthering Heights” will arrive on HBO Max on May 1, nearly three months after its theatrical debut.

‘Wuthering Heights’ Enters Its Streaming Phase

The adaptation marks filmmaker Emerald Fennell’s take on Emily Brontë’s 19th-century novel, reimagined through a more impressionistic and emotionally subjective lens. Fennell has described the project as an attempt to capture the intensity of first encountering the story rather than delivering a strictly faithful retelling.

The picture stars Margot Robbie as Catherine Earnshaw opposite Jacob Elordi as Heathcliff, supported by a cast that includes Hong Chau and Shazad Latif. Their version leans into the volatile relationship at the center of the narrative, tracing its evolution from childhood bond to destructive adult obsession set against the Yorkshire moors.

“Wuthering Heights” first premiered at Grauman’s Chinese Theatre in January before opening theatrically on February 13 in both the United States and United Kingdom. Despite a mixed critical reception, the film resonated with audiences, ultimately surpassing $240 million globally and ranking among the year’s top earners.

Its commercial performance underscores Warner Bros.’ strategy of pairing theatrical exclusivity with a relatively swift streaming window. The May 1 debut on HBO Max places the movie within reach of a broader audience while maintaining momentum generated during its theatrical run.

A fresh piece of canon-adjacent insight has emerged.

According to an update shared on his YouTube channel, Hartman confirmed that Timmy Turner ultimately marries Tootie within the broader universe of the franchise.

A Long-Running Question Gets a Definitive Answer

The reveal comes from a video titled “Who does TIMMY TURNER MARRY?”, where Hartman outlines his view of the characters’ future beyond the events depicted in the animated series. While the original show never explicitly settled Timmy’s romantic fate, the creator’s statement places Tootie as the character he ends up with, clarifying an ambiguity that had been left open across multiple iterations of the property.

Throughout its run, “The Fairly OddParents” positioned Tootie as a persistent admirer of Timmy, often playing her affection for him as a recurring gag. Timmy, in contrast, typically reacted with discomfort or avoidance. Even so, the pairing remained one of the most frequently discussed possibilities among fans, alongside his interactions with other characters such as Trixie Tang.

The idea of a future relationship between Timmy and Tootie had surfaced in earlier franchise material, particularly in the live action film “A Fairly Odd Movie: Grow Up, Timmy Turner!,” which depicted an older version of the characters reconnecting. That portrayal suggested a shift in their dynamic as Timmy matured, though it stopped short of defining a permanent outcome within the animated continuity.

Hartman’s recent comment effectively bridges that gap by establishing a clear endpoint for the characters within his interpretation of the universe. While the original series, which aired from 2001 to 2017 across multiple runs and revivals, often avoided locking in long-term consequences, the new detail adds a layer of closure to one of its central character threads.

The latest expansion of the "John Wick" universe has moved into production.

Donnie Yen has confirmed that filming has begun on the upcoming “John Wick” spin-off centered on his character Caine, sharing a behind-the-scenes image of a clapboard on Instagram accompanied by the brief caption “Here we go.”

‘John Wick’ Spin-Off ‘Caine’ Officially Enters Production Stage

The project, which extends the narrative introduced in “John Wick: Chapter 4,” has long been in development as part of Lionsgate’s broader strategy to expand the franchise beyond its core storyline. Announced at CinemaCon 2025, the picture places Donnie Yen not only in front of the camera but also in the director’s chair.

Yen reprises his role as Caine, a blind assassin whose arc was left open-ended in the fourth installment. The new title is expected to continue directly from those events, further exploring the character’s break from the High Table and the consequences that follow. The screenplay has undergone multiple revisions, with Mattson Tomlin most recently contributing to the draft based on earlier material from Robert Askins.

Behind the camera, the project remains under the supervision of key franchise figures Chad Stahelski, Basil Iwanyk, and Erica Lee, all of whom continue to oversee the broader “John Wick” universe across film and television. Production partners include Lionsgate, Thunder Road Films, and 87Eleven Entertainment.

Rina Sawayama is also set to return as Akira, continuing a narrative thread introduced in “John Wick: Chapter 4.” The movie has been described by those involved as leaning into Hong Kong style martial arts cinema, aligning with Yen’s background and the franchise’s increasing emphasis on stylized, globally influenced action choreography.

While a full production timeline has not been detailed beyond its current filming stage, the project is part of a wider slate of “John Wick” expansions in active development, including additional spin-offs and a fifth mainline installment.

The newly released biographical drama has opened to a stark split in reception

“Michael,” which chronicles the rise of Michael Jackson from his early years in the Jackson 5 through the height of his solo career, arrives with significant expectations and an equally notable response gap.

Critics and Audiences Clash Over ‘Michael’ on Rotten Tomatoes

On RT, “Michael” currently holds a 39% approval rating from critics, based on 189 reviews, signaling a largely unfavorable critical consensus. In contrast, audience response has been overwhelmingly positive, with a 96% score drawn from more than 1,000 verified ratings.

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the film traces Jackson’s trajectory from a child performer in the 1960s to global superstardom during the Bad tour era. Jaafar Jackson, making his screen debut, portrays the singer as an adult, with Juliano Krue Valdi depicting his younger years. The supporting cast includes Nia Long, Colman Domingo, Miles Teller and Laura Harrier, among others.

The production has been closely watched since its early development, which dates back to 2019 when producer Graham King secured the rights to Jackson’s life story. After delays tied to the 2023 SAG-AFTRA strike, principal photography took place in 2024, followed by additional reshoots in 2025 that reshaped the movie’s final act.

The film premiered in Berlin on April 10 ahead of its wide April 24 release through Lionsgate in the United States and Universal Pictures internationally. Early box office returns indicate a global total of $31 million, with projections suggesting a strong opening weekend despite the critical response.

The fourth part of "From" has opened to a perfect critical score, continuing a rare run for the MGM+ series.

The new season debuts with a 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes based on an initial pool of fourteen critic responses, reinforcing the show’s standing among the most consistently well-reviewed television titles of the decade.

‘From’ Maintains Its High Critical Standing

With Season 4’s debut, “From” now maintains a notable benchmark: every season has scored above 90% on Rotten Tomatoes. The first season holds a 96% rating from critics, followed by 93% for Season 2 and a perfect 100% for Season 3, with all three installments based on larger sets of reviews. The latest part reaches the same top mark, albeit from a smaller initial sample.

Audience reception has followed a different trajectory. Season 4 currently holds a 94% audience score from early user ratings, while previous seasons show more variation. Season 3, despite its perfect critical score, sits at 73% with viewers, while Season 2 and Season 1 registered 80% and 87% respectively based on larger pools of audience feedback.

Created by John Griffin, “From” first premiered in February 2022 on Epix before continuing on MGM+ following the platform’s rebrand. The series blends science fiction and horror elements, centering on a group of people trapped in a mysterious town where escape proves elusive and survival depends on navigating increasingly dangerous supernatural forces.

The ensemble cast is led by Harold Perrineau as Boyd Stevens, a former soldier who assumes leadership within the isolated community. Alongside him, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Eion Bailey, and David Alpay anchor a narrative that balances character-driven drama with an expanding mythology tied to the town’s origins and its nocturnal threats.

Season 4, which premiered on April 19, builds on revelations introduced in the previous installment, including deeper exploration of the town’s underlying mechanics and the emergence of a new central antagonist. The series has already been renewed for a fifth and final entry.

Amazon is ending the collegiate chapter of its superhero universe, though the characters are set to continue elsewhere.

According to Variety, Amazon Prime Video has decided not to move forward with a third season of “Gen V,” bringing the “The Boys” spinoff to a close after two installments.

The decision comes as the platform signals a broader plan to fold the show’s characters into future entries within the franchise.

A Short Run With a Longer Future Inside the Franchise

In a statement addressing the cancellation, Eric Kripke and Goldberg acknowledged the end of the series while emphasizing that its characters will not disappear from the screen, noting, “While we wish we could keep the party going another season at Godolkin, we’re committed to continuing the ‘Gen V’ characters’ stories in ‘The Boys’ Season 5 and other VCU projects on the horizon. You’ll see them again.”

“Gen V” launched in September 2023 as the first live-action extension of “The Boys,” shifting the focus to Godolkin University, a training ground for young superheroes navigating ambition, power, and corporate control.

Developed by Craig Rosenberg alongside Eric Kripke and Evan Goldberg, the series positioned itself as both a companion piece and a tonal variation, blending campus drama with the franchise’s established satirical edge.

The show built a following across its two seasons, anchored by a cast that included Jaz Sinclair, Lizze Broadway, Maddie Phillips, and Asa Germann. Its second season, released in September 2025, continued to expand the narrative stakes by tying its storyline more directly to the events unfolding in “The Boys,” particularly as tensions between humans and supes escalated.

According to an exclusive by The Hollywood Reporter, as the project moves through early pitch stages, it is already generating significant interest across both traditional studios and streaming platforms.

Michael B. Jordan and Christopher McQuarrie Drive Early Industry Attention

At the center of the developing item is Christopher McQuarrie, who is attached to write, direct, and produce the feature adaptation. Known for his extensive work on the “Mission: Impossible” films, McQuarrie’s involvement signals a large-scale, action-driven approach to the material. Michael B. Jordan is also attached to the package as a producer, with the possibility of starring in the picture still being evaluated as development continues.

Sources indicate that McQuarrie, along with additional participants, has already begun pitching the project to studios and select streaming companies, like Apple and Sony, with further meetings scheduled.

The package also includes Electronic Arts as a producing partner, anchoring the project directly to the game publisher behind the franchise. Industry sources suggest that timing for the bidding phase has not yet been finalized, though expectations point toward competitive movement once studios complete initial rounds of meetings.

The “Battlefield” series, which spans more than two decades of releases and tens of millions of copies sold worldwide, has long been associated with large-scale multiplayer warfare and cinematic combat environments. With its emphasis on coordinated military gameplay and expansive battlefield settings, the franchise presents a foundation suited for large-format theatrical storytelling. That potential is a key factor in the current level of studio interest.

In the months following the tragedy that stunned Hollywood, Jake Reiner has chosen to share his experience in his own words.

In a recently released Substack post, the writer and filmmaker detailed the moment his life changed forever after the deaths of his parents, Rob Reiner and Michele Singer Reiner, whose killings in December 2025 remain the subject of an ongoing legal case.

A Personal Account of Sudden Loss

Reiner opens with a brief account of the second he learned of the tragedy, before turning to the future that will now never happen, writing, “I was robbed of so many things that day. My parents won’t be at my wedding, they won’t get to hold their future grandchild, and they won’t get to see me have the successful career I’m still seeking. It simultaneously breaks my heart and enrages me.”

That sense of rupture carries into how he describes the experience itself, calling it something beyond comprehension: “Nothing can prepare you for what it feels like to lose both parents instantly at the same time. It’s too devastating to comprehend. I still wake up every morning having to convince myself that, no, it’s not a dream. This truly is my living nightmare.”

He also turns to the question that lingers most for him, reflecting on his parents’ final moments and what they endured. “I can’t even begin to put myself in my parents’ shoes, but one thing I keep coming back to is how frightened they must have been. They were the last people in the world to deserve what happened to them. They deserved to be loved, they deserved to be respected, and above all they deserved to be appreciated for how much they gave to all three of us and to the world.”

The text also weighs on the life that was abruptly cut short and the future his parents were meant to have. “They should be enjoying the rest of their lives peacefully while growing older together. Instead, that was ripped away from them, from me, from Romy, and there was nothing we could do about it.”

The investigation into the killings is still moving through the courts. Authorities allege that the couple died from multiple stab wounds inside their Brentwood home, and their son, Nick Reiner, was taken into custody the same day. He has since been charged with two counts of first-degree murder, entered a not guilty plea, and remains jailed without bail as the case heads toward its next court hearing.

The second season has pushed Peacock’s foul-mouthed teddy bear comedy to the top of the streaming charts.

The latest data underscores a significant milestone for “Ted,” which has surged ahead of its competition in 2026.

According to Deadline, citing Nielsen figures, the show’s second season has accumulated 1.2 billion minutes viewed since its March debut, outperforming every other original comedy series across streaming platforms during that span.

A Streaming Win for Peacock’s Flagship Comedy

The numbers mark a notable victory for Peacock, which has steadily expanded its original programming slate in recent years. After debuting on March 5, 2026, Season 2 quickly converted its built-in audience into sustained momentum, finishing as the most-watched comedy by total minutes in Nielsen’s measured period.

Created by Seth MacFarlane, the show serves as a prequel to the film franchise, revisiting the early 1990s life of the irreverent, sentient teddy bear and his teenage companion John Bennett. MacFarlane reprises his role as the voice of Ted, anchoring a cast that includes Max Burkholder, Alanna Ubach, Scott Grimes, and Giorgia Whigham.

Set between 1993 and 1994, the series expands the franchise’s timeline by focusing on Ted’s adolescence within the Bennett household in Massachusetts. The premise blends coming-of-age elements with the brand’s established comedic tone, following Ted’s misadventures as he navigates school life alongside John and frequently disrupts the family dynamic.

Despite its performance, the show’s future remains limited. MacFarlane confirmed in March that there are no current plans for a third season, citing the high production costs associated with the character’s CGI-heavy design. That context adds weight to the current milestone, positioning Season 2 as both a peak moment for the series and a defining entry in Peacock’s comedy lineup.

For some of Hollywood’s biggest names, Oscar glory came only after decades of persistence.

In an industry that often celebrates overnight success, the path to an Academy Award can be surprisingly long, even for the most recognizable stars. This list highlights ten A-listers who spent 20 years or more building their careers before finally hearing their name called on Oscar night.

Robert Downey Jr.

Few careers in Hollywood have been as turbulent, or as enduring, as Robert Downey Jr.’s. A former child actor who grew up on film sets, he earned early critical acclaim with his uncanny turn as Charlie Chaplin in “Chaplin,” which brought him his first Academy Award nomination in 1993. For a moment, it seemed like Oscar success might come quickly.

It didn’t. Decades passed, marked by both career setbacks and reinventions, including a scene-stealing, nomination-worthy comedic performance in “Tropic Thunder.” Then, more than 30 years after his first nomination, Downey finally claimed his long-awaited prize, winning Best Supporting Actor for his performance as Lewis Strauss in “Oppenheimer” at the 2024 ceremony.

Helen Mirren

Long before she became Oscar royalty, Helen Mirren was already commanding attention on screen, beginning with her breakout film role in “Age of Consent.” Over the decades that followed, she built a formidable reputation across stage and screen, earning admiration for her range and authority, yet the Academy kept her at arm’s length, offering nominations for performances in “The Madness of King George” and “Gosford Park” without a win.

That changed when she stepped into the role of Queen Elizabeth II in “The Queen,” delivering a performance defined by restraint and precision. At 61, Mirren finally secured the Academy Award for Best Actress, roughly 38 years after her film debut.

Michael Caine

By the time Michael Caine finally heard his name called at the Oscars, he had already spent decades as one of Britain’s most reliable leading men. His first nomination came in 1967 for “Alfie,” a performance that defined his early screen persona, and was followed by further recognition for “Sleuth” and “Educating Rita.” Still, the award itself remained just out of reach.

The breakthrough arrived in 1987, when Caine won Best Supporting Actor for “Hannah and Her Sisters,” more than 20 years after his first nomination. In a twist that has become part of Oscar lore, he wasn’t there to accept it, as he was busy filming “Jaws: The Revenge” at the time.

Jessica Tandy

Unlike many of her peers, Jessica Tandy didn’t follow the typical Hollywood trajectory to Oscar recognition. For decades, she was already a towering figure of the stage, originating the role of Blanche DuBois in “A Streetcar Named Desire” and collecting Tony Awards for productions like “The Gin Game” and “Foxfire.” Film audiences knew her from roles in projects such as “The Birds,” but her greatest mainstream success would come much later.

At an age when most careers have long slowed down, Tandy reached an entirely new level of visibility. Her performance in “Driving Miss Daisy” earned her the Academy Award for Best Actress, making her the oldest winner in that category at 80. Already a recipient of an Emmy and multiple Tonys, the win completed her “Triple Crown” and solidified a legacy that bridged theater prestige and late-career cinematic acclaim.

Al Pacino

For years, Al Pacino seemed destined to be one of the greatest actors never to win an Oscar. He burst onto the Academy’s radar with his supporting role in “The Godfather,” earning his first nomination in 1973, and quickly became a fixture at the ceremony thanks to powerhouse performances in films like “Serpico,” “Dog Day Afternoon,” and “…And Justice for All.” Despite the steady recognition, the award itself remained elusive through the 1970s and 1980s.

By the early 1990s, the narrative around Pacino had shifted from rising legend to overdue icon. That finally changed with “Scent of a Woman,” which earned him the Academy Award for Best Actor in 1993, exactly 20 years after his first nomination.

Judi Dench

Long before Hollywood fully embraced her, Judi Dench had already spent decades building a formidable reputation on the British stage, beginning in the late 1950s. Her early film work, including “The Third Secret,” hinted at her screen presence, but it would take many years before international audiences—and the Academy—caught up with her stature.

That recognition arrived in quick succession late in her career. After earning her first nomination for “Mrs. Brown,” Dench won the following year for her portrayal of Elizabeth I of England in “Shakespeare in Love.” Her performance lasted only minutes on screen, yet it proved unforgettable, securing her the Best Supporting Actress Oscar more than 40 years after her professional debut and marking the beginning of a prolific run of nominations.

Leonardo DiCaprio

There was a time when Leonardo DiCaprio was better known for near-misses than wins at the Oscars. He first caught the Academy’s attention as a teenager with his supporting role in “What’s Eating Gilbert Grape,” earning a nomination at just 19 and setting expectations sky-high for what would follow.

Over the next two decades, DiCaprio delivered a string of acclaimed performances, yet the award itself remained stubbornly out of reach despite multiple nominations. That narrative finally shifted with “The Revenant,” which earned him Best Actor at the 2016 ceremony, closing a 22-year gap between his first nomination and his first win.

Brad Pitt

Awards recognition came in stages for Brad Pitt, whose Hollywood career spans decades of both critical acclaim and commercial success. He first entered the Oscar conversation as an actor with a nomination for “12 Monkeys” in 1996, but like many of his peers on this list, early momentum didn’t immediately translate into a win.

Interestingly, his first Academy Award arrived not for acting, but for producing, when “12 Years a Slave” won Best Picture in 2014. It would take several more years before he claimed an acting trophy, finally winning Best Supporting Actor for “Once Upon a Time… in Hollywood” in 2020, more than two decades after his first nomination and over 30 years into his time in the industry.

A defining figure in American classical music, he led major orchestras for decades while shaping generations of musicians and audiences.

Michael Tilson Thomas, the influential conductor, composer, and longtime leader of the San Francisco Symphony, has died at 81.

According to AP News, the American maestro died Wednesday at his home in San Francisco after a yearslong battle with brain cancer.

A Career That Reshaped American Classical Music

Thomas built a reputation as one of the most versatile conductors of his era, moving fluidly between canonical European works and modern American compositions. His tenure as music director of the San Francisco Symphony from 1995 to 2020 became a defining chapter, during which he elevated the orchestra’s international profile and championed contemporary voices alongside established masters.

Born in Los Angeles in 1944 into a family deeply connected to the performing arts, he showed early musical promise and went on to study piano, composition, and conducting at the University of Southern California. His early career accelerated quickly after a high profile last minute substitution with the Boston Symphony Orchestra.

Across the following decades, Thomas held leadership roles with ensembles in Buffalo, London, and Los Angeles, while also founding the New World Symphony in Miami in 1987. That institution became a key training ground for young musicians.

His work extended beyond conducting into composition and media, with projects designed to make classical music more accessible to wider audiences. Television series such as “Keeping Score” and his involvement in initiatives like the YouTube Symphony Orchestra underscored his belief in expanding the reach of orchestral music in the digital age.

Thomas publicly disclosed in 2021 that he had been diagnosed with an aggressive brain tumor and returned to the stage after treatment. When the illness resurfaced in early 2025, he continued working, leading what would become his final concert with the San Francisco Symphony in April of that year. His death follows the recent loss of his husband, Joshua Robison.

Taylor Swift Crowned Spotify’s Most Streamed Artist of All Time as Platform Hits 20 Years

https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/celebrities/taylor-swift-crowned-spotifys-most-streamed-artist-of-all-time-as-platform-hits-20-years

The announcement comes this morning as part of a comprehensive retrospective by the streaming giant, which was founded in April 2006.

While Swift takes the overall crown for total career streams, the data reveals a competitive landscape where global superstars like Bad Bunny and Drake continue to challenge the traditional pop hierarchy.

A New Milestone in the Streaming Era

The coronation of Taylor Swift as the all-time leader reflects a career defined by high-volume output and an exceptionally loyal digital audience. Industry analysts note that her ability to mobilize fans across multiple re-recorded albums and new studio releases like 2025’s The Life Of A Showgirl provided the necessary momentum to secure the top spot.

While Swift leads the artist category, she is followed closely by Puerto Rican powerhouse Bad Bunny, who continues to dominate the album charts with his record-breaking project Un Verano Sin Ti.

Drake currently holds the third position, maintaining his status as a pillar of the streaming age, while The Weeknd and Ariana Grande round out the elite top tier. The Weeknd also achieved a significant individual milestone this morning as his 2020 hit Blinding Lights was officially confirmed as the most-streamed song in the history of the platform.

Beyond the individual accolades, the 20th-anniversary report underscores the massive scale of the modern music industry. Spotify now reports over 751 million active users and 290 million subscribers across 184 global markets. This reach has allowed diverse genres including Latin music and R&B to achieve parity with mainstream pop, as evidenced by the high rankings of artists like Karol G and SZA in the all-time album lists.

The timing of this release coincides with a period of intense public interest in Swift’s personal and professional life, following her recent engagement and continued efforts to regain control of her master recordings. For many in the industry, today’s data serves as a formal validation of the “Swift Era.”

The revival is beginning to solidify into something tangible.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the new feature adaptation has locked in both its leading men and a clearer creative blueprint, drawing directly from the original show’s pilot and first season while aiming for a theatrical release through Universal Pictures on Aug. 6, 2027.

A Stylish Revival Takes Shape

Joseph Kosinski’s take on “Miami Vice” now carries the title “Miami Vice ’85,” anchoring the film firmly within the decade that made the original series a cultural force.

The period setting is more than cosmetic. It points to a return to the aesthetic identity that distinguished the show during its NBC run from 1984 to 1989, when pastel fashion, pop music, and sleek excess became as central as the crime stories themselves.

That identity is closely tied to the characters of Sonny Crockett and Ricardo Tubbs, originally played by Don Johnson and Philip Michael Thomas. The new film hands those roles to Michael B. Jordan and Austin Butler, who have now formally committed after an extended negotiation process.

Both actors arrive at a moment of significant career momentum. Jordan has been balancing studio ambitions with auteur-driven projects, recently earning the Best Actors Oscar for “Sinners” while expanding his footprint behind the camera.

Butler, meanwhile, has transitioned from breakout acclaim in “Elvis” to a steady run of high-profile roles, including “Dune: Part Two” and “The Bikeriders,” positioning himself as one of the industry’s most closely watched leading men.

The original “Miami Vice,” created by Anthony Yerkovich and shaped by executive producer Michael Mann, broke from traditional police procedurals by leaning into music, mood, and visual storytelling. Its influence stretched far beyond television, helping define the look and sound of 1980s pop culture while inspiring everything from fashion trends to video games like “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City.”

The filmmaker behind the 2019 documentary reflects on why the public response did not unfold as many expected.

The conversation around the upcoming “Michael” biopic arrives alongside renewed scrutiny of Michael Jackson’s legacy, but one of the most prominent voices from that debate suggests the cultural reaction has remained largely unchanged.

Speaking with The Hollywood Reporter, Dan Reed addressed the impact of his documentary “Leaving Neverland” and the audience response that followed.

A Debate That Didn’t Shift the Audience

Reed pointed to a disconnect between expectations and reality after the release of his production, which centered on accounts brought forward by Wade Robson and James Safechuck against the pop star. Asked what it meant that Michael Jackson’s stature not only endured but continued to grow, his response was blunt: “People just don’t care.”

The director also maintained that the central claims presented in the documentary have not been meaningfully contested, while acknowledging the broader online discourse that followed. “None of the allegations in Leaving Neverland have been seriously challenged, right? But there was enough noise online from those simplistic debunking [videos] that people found it easy to give themselves permission to like Michael Jackson’s music again, if they ever stopped liking it.”

Reed then framed the situation as one driven largely by enduring attachment to the music itself. “I think a lot of people just love his music and turn a deaf ear.”

His comments are about to be tested, as it has already been revealed that “Michael” neither mentions nor includes anything about Michael Jackson’s legal battles, instead ending with his 1988 Wembley Stadium performance during the Bad tour, a choice that has already been enough to spark criticism even ahead of its release.

The man behind "Iron Man" reveals he quietly pushed back against the character’s fate.

In hindsight, even architects of the Marvel Cinematic Universe had their doubts. During a recent late-night appearance, Jon Favreau opened up about a creative disagreement that nearly altered one of the franchise’s most defining moments.

Speaking on Jimmy Kimmel Live!, where he was promoting his upcoming “The Mandalorian and Grogu,” the director admitted he initially resisted the idea of killing off Tony Stark in “Avengers: Endgame.”

A Second Thought on a Defining Ending

Favreau, who helped launch the MCU with 2008’s “Iron Man,” said he reached out directly to Anthony Russo and Joe Russo when he learned of their plans for Stark’s final arc. “I talked to the Russos, I said ‘I don’t know if people are gonna like … I don’t know, it’s really going to impact people because they were kids that grew up with that character,” he recalled.

Years later, his view has shifted. Reflecting on the finished film, he credited the filmmakers and cast for delivering a conclusion that resonated. “But I have to tell you, it was handled so well by them,” he said, pointing to work of the directors.

He also singled out Downey and Gwyneth Paltrow, adding, “they did such a wonderful job acting, and I think it added a poignancy to it. I think they did a wonderful job. I was wrong”

Released in 2019, “Avengers: Endgame” served as a culmination of more than a decade of interconnected storytelling, closing out major arcs while setting the stage for what followed. Stark’s final act, once a point of concern behind the scenes, has since become central to the picture’s legacy.

The reality television figure became a familiar presence on A&E through years of high-stakes bidding and memorable on-screen rivalries.

Darrell Sheets, a longtime fixture on reality television, has died at the age of 67. According to Variety, the former “Storage Wars” cast member passed away Wednesday in Lake Havasu City, Arizona, with authorities reporting that the death appeared to involve a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A Defining Presence on ‘Storage Wars’ for Over a Decade

Sheets was widely recognized as one of the original buyers on “Storage Wars,” where his approach to auctions helped shape the tone of the series during its early years. Appearing in 163 episodes across more than a decade, he built a reputation for taking risks on storage units that others might have overlooked, earning him the nickname “The Gambler.”

His time on the show frequently placed him alongside his son, Brandon Sheets, and in competition with other regulars, including Dave Hester. The dynamic among buyers became a central element of the program’s appeal, with Sheets often leaning into bold decisions that occasionally resulted in high-value discoveries.

Among the most notable moments tied to his run was the uncovering of a storage unit containing hundreds of artworks by Frank Gutierrez, a find that became one of the most talked-about in the show’s history. His on-screen persona, marked by confidence and a willingness to take chances, made him a consistent presence throughout the series’ peak years.

Away from television, Sheets stepped back from the spotlight following his departure from the show in 2021. He relocated to Arizona, where he operated an antique business, shifting his focus from televised auctions to a more local venture tied to the same trade.

Police in Lake Havasu City confirmed that officers responded to a residence early Wednesday morning, where Sheets was found deceased. The case remains under investigation, with authorities indicating that further details may be released as it develops.

The rollout of "Michael" is already stirring conversation beyond the screen.

Taj Jackson, nephew of Michael Jackson, has taken to social media to challenge how the late singer has been portrayed over the years, framing the film’s release as a turning point in who gets to shape that story.

A Family Voice Enters the Conversation as ‘Michael’ Reaches Theaters

With “Michael” arriving in theaters, Taj Jackson used the moment to address what he sees as a longstanding imbalance between media narratives and public perception. Posting online as anticipation builds, he wrote, “Sorry media, u don’t get to control the narrative anymore of who Michael Jackson truly was.”

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and led by Jaafar Jackson in his first major screen role, the film traces Michael Jackson’s rise from his early days with the Jackson 5 through his emergence as a solo star. Its focus on formative years and career milestones has already sparked discussion about what is included and what is left out.

Taj Jackson’s comments lean into that broader debate. “The public gets to watch this movie…they will decide for themselves. And you can’t handle that,” he added.

The post also carried a more pointed edge toward early reactions surrounding the film: “Can’t wait till some critics have to eat crow. And yes I will be that petty.” Currently, the title holds a 37% critics score on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 113 reviews.

Produced by Lionsgate, the picture arrives after years of development, casting attention, and scrutiny over how it would depict one of the most scrutinized figures in pop culture history. With its theatrical debut now underway, the conversation surrounding “Michael” appears set to extend well beyond the box office.

Once headed for deletion, the film has reemerged as one of the most unusual comeback stories in recent Hollywood memory.

The conversation around “Coyote vs. Acme” has intensified following the release of its first trailer, with much of the renewed attention tied to the film’s unlikely path to theaters.

The project was at one point effectively written off despite being fully completed, before a series of reversals, negotiations, and public pressure brought it back into circulation.

A Studio Film That Nearly Disappeared

Directed by Dave Green and written by Samy Burch, the live action and animation hybrid reimagines Wile E. Coyote as a plaintiff taking legal action against the Acme Corporation, the fictional manufacturer behind decades of malfunctioning gadgets.

The story pairs the character with a struggling attorney, played by Will Forte, while John Cena appears as the corporate lawyer opposing him, and Lana Condor rounds out the central cast.

The project had been in development in various forms since the late 2010s, with multiple writers contributing before Burch received final screenplay credit alongside story input from James Gunn and Jeremy Slater.

Filming took place in New Mexico in 2022, and the production combined digital animation with traditional techniques, drawing comparisons to “Who Framed Roger Rabbit” in its approach to integrating animated characters into a live action setting.

Despite reaching completion, the picture’s future shifted abruptly in November 2023 when Warner Bros. Discovery opted not to release it, citing a financial strategy that would allow the studio to claim a tax benefit.

The decision placed the film alongside other high profile cancellations and prompted backlash from filmmakers, talent representatives, and audiences, particularly as reports indicated the film had tested positively.

Within days, the studio altered course, allowing the filmmakers to present the project to potential buyers. Interest reportedly came from several major distributors, but negotiations stalled over valuation, leaving the movie in limbo for months. During that period, online campaigns calling for its release gained traction, and industry figures publicly advocated for the project to find a distributor.

A resolution arrived in March 2025 when Ketchup Entertainment acquired the rights, positioning the film for a theatrical release. The company had previously handled distribution for “The Day the Earth Blew Up,” and framed the acquisition as an opportunity to bring a completed project to audiences after an extended period of uncertainty. The picture is now scheduled to debut on August 28, closing a chapter that has become as notable as the movie itself.

The studio is committing unprecedented resources to its adaptation of the hit fantasy game

The film adaptation of “Elden Ring” is moving forward with a scale rarely associated with A24’s slate.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the company has assembled a large ensemble cast and begun production in the United Kingdom, positioning the project as its most expansive undertaking to date, with a theatrical release set for March 3, 2028.

A24 Scales Up With ‘Elden Ring’ as Production Gets Underway

Alex Garland, coming off “Civil War,” is both writing and directing the picture, placing him at the center of what has become the company’s most demanding production.

Filming has started in the U.K., with additional location work expected as the shoot unfolds across roughly 100 days. The budget, reported to exceed $100 million, marks a significant jump from the studio’s usual range.

The cast reflects that ambition. Newly confirmed additions include Emma Laird, Jefferson Hall, Tom Burke, Nick Offerman, Ruby Cruz, Peter Serafinowicz, Havana Rose Liu, John Hodgkinson, Sonoya Mizuno and Jonathan Pryce. They join an existing lineup led by Cailee Spaeny, Kit Connor and Ben Whishaw. Character details remain under wraps.

The project draws from one of the most influential titles in modern gaming, a 2022 release from FromSoftware that blends open-world exploration with a deliberately opaque narrative. Set in a fractured realm known as the Lands Between, the story unfolds in the aftermath of a cataclysm that splintered a powerful force once tied to order itself.

Players step into the role of an outcast summoned back to this broken world, navigating hostile territories, clashing with corrupted rulers, and piecing together a mythos shaped in part by fantasy author George R. R. Martin. The game’s scale, emphasis on player choice, and environmental storytelling helped drive both its critical acclaim and its commercial reach, with more than 30 million copies sold worldwide.

‘Sinners’ Turns A Year Old: How Ryan Coogler Redefined the Supernatural Thriller

https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/sinners-turns-a-year-old-how-ryan-coogler-redefined-the-supernatural-thriller

Twelve months after its haunting debut, Ryan Coogler’s Southern Gothic masterpiece continues to cast a long, blood-red shadow over the landscape of modern genre filmmaking.

When “Sinners” first emerged from the veil of secrecy that defined its production, audiences weren’t just treated to another vampire flick; they were thrust into a visceral, sweat-soaked vision of the 1930s Jim Crow South that felt both ancient and urgent.

Ryan Coogler took the high-stakes intensity he perfected in the “Black Panther” franchise and distilled it into a claustrophobic, R-rated nightmare that prioritized atmosphere and practical dread over cheap jump scares. By blending historical trauma with supernatural folklore, Coogler managed to create a cinematic experience that felt like a lost piece of American mythology, proving that original stories can still command the cultural conversation.

A New Blueprint for the Gothic Epic

The brilliance of “Sinners” lies in its refusal to play by the established rules of the supernatural thriller, opting instead to build a world where the monsters are secondary to the mounting tension of the setting. Coogler utilized the isolation of the rural South to create a pressure cooker environment where the heat is almost palpable through the screen. By stripping away the gloss often found in big-budget horror, he anchored the supernatural elements in a gritty, tactile reality that made the eventual arrival of the macabre feel earned rather than gimmicky.

One year later, the film’s influence is most visible in how it balanced its heavy themes with pure, unadulterated spectacle. While many contemporary horror picture lean heavily into elevated horror metaphors at the expense of genuine thrills, “Sinners” embraced its identity as a pulse-pounding action-thriller.

Furthermore, the movie’s technical execution remains a talking point for cinephiles and critics alike. The collaboration between Coogler and cinematographer Autumn Durald Arkapaw created a visual language that used darkness not just to hide the monsters, but to emphasize the moral ambiguity of the characters. Every frame of the film feels intentional, utilizing a color palette of deep ambers and bruised purples that differentiates it from the cold, blue hues typically associated with the vampire subgenre. This aesthetic boldness helped the picture carve out a unique space in the cultural lexicon that remains vibrant a year later.

Ultimately, “Sinners” redefined the genre by proving that a supernatural story is only as strong as the human stakes at its center. By focusing on the bond between brothers and the weight of ancestral choices, Coogler ensured that the audience was emotionally invested long before the first drop of blood was spilled.

As we look back on its first anniversary, it is clear that the film wasn’t just a seasonal hit but a foundational shift in how we perceive the intersection of history, race, and the paranormal. It remains a defiant reminder that the most terrifying stories are the ones that feel like they could actually happen in the dark corners of our own history.

The actor suggests the scope of the King of Pop’s story is already pushing the biopic beyond a single film.

In a recent conversation with Entertainment Tonight, Jaafar Jackson has revealed that a follow-up to “Michael” is already taking shape, even before audiences have seen the first installment.

A Story Too Big for One Film

While anticipation builds for “Michael,” its leading man is already looking beyond opening weekend. Speaking about the scale of the project, Jaafar Jackson made it clear that the creative team never viewed the material as something easily contained. “You can’t fit it all in one movie…it’s impossible,” he said, pointing to the breadth of Michael Jackson’s life and career.

That ambition appears to be translating into concrete plans. The actor confirmed that a continuation is not just theoretical, adding, “It’s in early development.”

Directed by Antoine Fuqua and written by John Logan, the picture traces Jackson’s rise from his childhood with the Jackson 5 through the early stages of his solo superstardom. The production, backed by Lionsgate, arrives with an ensemble cast that includes Colman Domingo, Nia Long, Miles Teller, and Laura Harrier.

The idea of expanding the narrative has been circulating behind the scenes for some time. Reports tied to the film’s extended runtime and evolving post-production process have hinted that a single release might not fully accommodate the material, with portions of earlier cuts potentially carrying over into a future chapter.

For now, the first entry stands on its own as a major theatrical event following its Berlin premiere and ahead of its wide release. But if Jackson’s comments are any indication, the story being told on screen may only be the opening act of a much larger cinematic portrait.

It seems the ballet controversy surrounding Timothée Chalamet isn’t going anywhere.

Two months after comments that many believe cost him the Oscar, Charlize Theron is weighing in on the debate that has unexpectedly bridged Hollywood and the performing arts, pushing back on the “Dune” actor’s widely criticized remarks.

According to Variety, her comments came during a conversation with The New York Times, where she addressed both the physical demands of dance and took aim at the young A-lister.

Charlize Theron Pushes Back on Timothée Chalamet and Defends Ballet

Theron’s statements arrive in the wake of backlash directed at Chalamet earlier this year, after he suggested that ballet and opera struggle for relevance. The response from across the arts world was swift, with institutions and audiences alike rejecting the idea that those disciplines have lost their place.

Theron aligned herself firmly with that defense, calling his take “very reckless” and stressing the need to support forms that depend on live audiences.

The conversation began with her reflecting on her own experience with physically demanding roles, where she highlighted the intensity of dance training. “Dance is probably one of the hardest things I ever did,” she said, adding, “Dancers are superheroes. What they put their bodies through in complete silence.”

From there, the interviewer raised Chalamet’s comments, and the actress answered bluntly. “Oh, boy, I hope I run into him one day,” she said, before defending ballet and opera, noting that “yes, they do have a hard time” attracting audiences.

She then sharpened her point with a pointed comparison: “But in 10 years, AI is going to be able to do Timothée’s job, but it will not be able to replace a person on a stage dancing live.”

Theron also emphasized the need for respect across creative fields. “We shouldn’t [expletive] on other art forms,” she said, before reflecting on how dance shaped her own work ethic. “It taught me discipline. It taught structure. It taught hard work. It taught me to be tough.”

She went on to describe the physical toll behind that discipline in stark terms, recalling injuries that never fully healed and the relentless pace of training. “There were several times that I had blood infections from blisters that just never healed… I’m literally talking about bleeding through your shoes,” Theron said, capturing the reality behind an art form that often appears effortless on stage.

Immediately after the Oscars concluded, where Chalamet lost the Best Actor award to Michael B. Jordan, he moved on to promoting “Dune: Part Three.” However, it seems those within his own industry are not letting his earlier criticism fade. Time will tell if the actor can finally move past the controversy when the third installment of Denis Villeneuve’s revived franchise arrives on December 18.

The comedy duo is open to revisiting one of their biggest cult hits.

The possibility of the long-discussed sequel to “White Chicks” is back in circulation, with Marlon and Shawn Wayans signaling renewed interest in revisiting the 2004 comedy.

In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, the brothers say any forward movement is tied directly to the performance of the upcoming “Scary Movie 6.”

A Box Office Test for a Cult Favorite Revival

The Wayans brothers are not closing the door on “White Chicks 2,” but they are not rushing through it either. Marlon Wayans made their position plain, offering a simple “I’ll put it this way; we’re game,” while stopping short of confirming anything concrete.

That willingness comes with a condition. Shawn Wayans pointed to their next project as the deciding factor, saying a sequel “can happen” if audiences show up for “Scary Movie 6.” The film, scheduled for release on June 5, marks a major return for the family to the franchise they helped define in its early years.

The upcoming installment reunites several familiar faces, including Anna Faris and Regina Hall, and brings the Wayans brothers back as writers, producers, and on-screen regulars. It also represents their first hands-on involvement in the series since “Scary Movie 2” in 2001, following a long absence tied to earlier creative disputes.

Released in 2004, “White Chicks” starred the brothers as FBI agents who go undercover in disguise, becoming one of their most recognizable projects. While it faced a rough critical reception at the time, the picture found a second life in the years after its release and has remained a persistent fan favorite.

For now, the message is straightforward. The interest is there, the idea is alive, but the next move depends on whether moviegoers show up when the Wayans brothers return to theaters this summer.

The casting addition could expand Gotham’s most famous legal dynasty as the sequel continues to take shape.

The next chapter in Matt Reeves’ “Batman” saga is beginning to fill out its extended ensemble, with an iconic name potentially joining the world surrounding Bruce Wayne.

According to Deadline, Charles Dance is in early talks to appear in the upcoming sequel, marking another high-profile addition to DC Studios’ evolving lineup.

Charles Dance Eyed for Key Role in Gotham’s Dent Family

Dance, widely recognized for his commanding turn as Tywin Lannister in “Game of Thrones,” is being considered for a pivotal supporting role tied to Gotham’s political sphere. If negotiations are finalized, he would join Robert Pattinson, who is set to return as Bruce Wayne and Batman under Reeves’ direction.

While the studio has not publicly confirmed the casting, industry chatter points to Dance portraying Charles Dent, the father of Harvey Dent. The character would place him at the center of a family storyline that connects directly to Gotham’s legal system and its recurring themes of power and corruption.

In DC Comics, Harvey’s father is most commonly depicted as Christopher Dent, an abusive and unstable figure whose violent behavior and reliance on a coin toss to dictate his actions leave a lasting psychological imprint on his son. That traumatic upbringing is often cited as a key factor in Harvey’s eventual transformation into Two-Face.

Sebastian Stan is expected to take on the role of the city’s district attorney, with Scarlett Johansson reportedly cast as his wife. Together, the trio would establish a prominent new family dynamic within the sequel, potentially shaping a major narrative thread as Gotham’s institutions continue to fracture.

The film, scheduled for release on October 1, 2027, will again be directed and co-written by Reeves alongside Mattson Tomlin. Returning cast members are expected to include Jeffrey Wright as Jim Gordon, Andy Serkis as Alfred Pennyworth, and Colin Farrell as Oz Cobb, also known as the Penguin, with Barry Keoghan anticipated to reprise his role as the Joker.

Following the events of 2022’s “The Batman,” which centered on a conspiracy rooted in Gotham’s elite, the sequel is set to shift further into Bruce Wayne’s personal life while continuing to explore systemic corruption across the city. Production is currently slated to begin in mid 2026, with filming planned in the United Kingdom.

The honor won’t interrupt Iron Maiden’s touring machine.

Iron Maiden’s long-awaited induction into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame will arrive without the band in the room.

According to an email sent to Billboard by manager Rod Smallwood, the group has confirmed it will not attend November’s ceremony in Los Angeles, opting instead to stay committed to a run of tour dates already locked into their 50th anniversary schedule.

Iron Maiden Chooses the Road Over the Red Carpet

The decision comes down to timing, not sentiment. Smallwood made clear that the band’s calendar leaves no practical window for a transpacific detour. “As the most observant have already noticed, the band will be on tour in Australia around the November date of the Induction ceremony,” he said.

The message from the Iron Maiden camp is consistent with a career built on relentless touring. “In accepting, Iron Maiden made it very clear to the R&R HoF that the fans always come first and that the shows will of course go on.”

The scheduling conflict, as reported by Ultimate Classic Rock, effectively rules out a full-band appearance, though it leaves open the possibility that a representative could attend on their behalf.

For ticket holders, the reassurance is explicit. “We would like to assure all our fans in Australasia that the Australian and New Zealand dates will remain unaffected,” Smallwood added.

This year’s ceremony is set for November 14 at the Peacock Theater. Iron Maiden joins a diverse 2026 class that includes Phil Collins, Billy Idol, Oasis, Sade, Luther Vandross, Wu-Tang Clan, and Joy Division/New Order, marking one of the more stylistically varied lineups in recent years.

The hit HBO drama continues to build out its Seattle storyline with a key new character tied to Abby’s arc.

Li Jun Li is heading from the world of prestige horror to one of television’s most closely watched dramas. According to Variety, the “Sinners” breakout has been cast in Season 3 of “The Last of Us,” taking on a newly introduced role that connects directly to one of the story’s central threads.

Li Jun Li Joins ‘The Last of Us’ Season 3 in Key Seraphite Role

Li will portray Miriam, a member of the Seraphites, the religious faction operating in Seattle. The character is also the mother of siblings Lev and Yara, who become closely linked to Abby during a defining stretch of the storyline set to be brought to the small screen next. Michelle Mao and Kyriana Kratter have already been cast to play the duo.

Miriam represents a character created specifically for the television adaptation, rather than one drawn directly from the original video game. Her inclusion signals the show’s continued approach of deepening the source material by introducing new perspectives within established arcs.

Li’s casting follows her breakout turn in “Sinners,” Ryan Coogler’s 2025 period horror film set in the Mississippi Delta. In the picture, she portrayed Grace Chow, a Chinese American shopkeeper who runs a grocery store with her husband. Positioned as a pragmatic and determined presence, the character is drawn into a deadly confrontation with a supernatural threat, ultimately making a high stakes decision in an effort to protect her daughter.

“The Last of Us,” created by Craig Mazin and Neil Druckmann, has become one of HBO’s defining series, with its first two seasons drawing large audiences and critical recognition. The third season is expected to continue adapting the events of the second game, with a narrative shift toward Abby’s perspective and an expanded ensemble supporting that storyline.

The rapper’s family continues to grow.

Eminem has entered grandfather territory once again, as his eldest daughter Alaina Scott has welcomed her first child.

Scott and her husband Matt Moeller announced the birth of their daughter, Scottie Marie, days after her arrival, sharing the news publicly through social media along with a glimpse of their expanding family.

A New Chapter for Alaina Scott and the Mathers Family

Scott, 32, revealed that her daughter was born on April 14. The announcement came shortly after, accompanied by early photos of the newborn and a look at life as a family of three.

In sharing the news, Scott offered a deeply personal explanation behind her daughter’s name. Scottie Marie is a tribute to the “Scott sisters,” a reference to the women in her family who have shaped her identity and life experience. The name, she noted, carries both legacy and intention, with hopes that her daughter will one day define it in her own way.

The moment also underscores Eminem’s evolving role beyond music, as the rapper, born Marshall Mathers, continues to see his family grow into a new generation. Already a grandfather through his daughter Hailie Jade, the arrival of Scott’s child adds another layer to a family story that has long been part of his public narrative.

The rapper shares Jade with ex-wife Kim Scott and later adopted Alaina, the daughter of Kim’s late sister, as well as Stevie Laine, Kim’s child from another relationship.

The Ex-Files: 10 Celebrity Pairs You Totally Forgot Used to Date in the 2010s

https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/celebrities/__trashed-7

A look back at celebrity relationships from the 2010s that once made headlines but have since faded almost completely from memory.

The 2010s were packed with high profile celebrity romances that dominated entertainment news cycles for a brief moment before quietly disappearing from the spotlight. Some of these couples were constant tabloid fixtures at the time, while others barely registered beyond a few red carpet appearances or social media posts.

This list revisits ten pairings that once defined a moment in pop culture but have since become little more than a footnote in Hollywood history.

Emilia Clarke and Seth MacFarlane

For a brief stretch between 2012 and 2013, Emilia Clarke and Seth MacFarlane formed one of those Hollywood pairings that didn’t quite make immediate sense on paper but kept turning up in the same rooms anyway. The “Game of Thrones” breakout and the “Family Guy” creator were spotted together at industry events, including Emmy weekend gatherings and a karaoke night in Koreatown, fueling curiosity about how the two had even crossed paths in the first place.

Behind the public sightings, the relationship never really escaped the pull of distance, with Clarke based in Europe for filming while MacFarlane remained anchored in the United States. By early 2013, the split was already being reported, closing out what was, in hindsight, a short and quietly complicated chapter.

Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez

Summer 2014 brought a whirlwind pairing that felt almost engineered for tabloids when Zac Efron and Michelle Rodriguez were first seen together along the Mediterranean coast. Between yacht days off Sardinia and nights out in Ibiza, the two leaned fully into the kind of carefree, sun drenched romance that tends to burn bright and fade fast in Hollywood circles.

Their connection reportedly sparked through mutual friends and escalated quickly, with public displays of affection that made it clear this wasn’t a quiet, behind the scenes situation. But just as quickly as it started, tension crept in, and after roughly two months, the relationship unraveled following a reported argument during their Ibiza trip.

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin

Jennifer Lawrence and Chris Martin kept their relationship deliberately low-key when they were first linked in 2014, even as curiosity around the pairing grew almost immediately. Coming off major personal shifts in both of their lives, the Oscar winner and the Coldplay frontman were occasionally seen together in public, including quiet concert appearances where Lawrence showed support from the crowd rather than the spotlight.

What followed was a relationship that never quite settled into a clear rhythm, with reports describing it as on again, off again over the course of roughly a year. By mid 2015, the romance had quietly run its course, with conflicting schedules and distance doing most of the damage.

Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill

In the summer of 2013, Kaley Cuoco and Henry Cavill briefly collided in what might be one of the shortest high-profile romances in modern Hollywood memory. Fresh off the global attention surrounding “Man of Steel,” Cavill suddenly found himself paired with the “Big Bang Theory” star in a whirlwind that played out almost entirely under the glare of paparazzi cameras.

What made the situation particularly unusual was just how fast it escalated and dissolved, reportedly lasting barely more than a week or two. The pair were photographed on everyday outings in Los Angeles, but the intensity of the attention quickly overwhelmed what little time they had together. Cuoco later reflected that it was her first real experience with that level of public scrutiny, and once the spotlight locked in, the romance faded almost as quickly as it had appeared.

Katy Perry and John Mayer

Katy Perry and John Mayer’s relationship unfolded over a longer stretch than many of her other high-profile romances, beginning in 2012 and moving in and out of sync over the next few years. What started in the wake of Perry’s divorce from Russell Brand quickly developed into something more serious, with the pair frequently appearing together and gradually becoming one of music’s most closely watched couples.

Their connection wasn’t just personal but creative as well, culminating in the 2013 duet “Who You Love,” which gave fans a rare glimpse into their dynamic beyond headlines and red carpets. Despite moments that suggested real stability, the relationship remained unpredictable, eventually coming to an end in 2015. Even after the breakup, echoes of it lingered in Mayer’s later work, while Perry has spoken about the intensity of the bond they shared during those years.

Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough

When Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough began dating in 2010, it immediately became one of those polished Hollywood pairings that seemed built for constant public visibility. Over the course of three years, the American Idol host and the Dancing with the Stars performer balanced red carpet appearances, busy schedules, and the steady hum of industry attention that followed them wherever they went.

By the time they split in 2013, the breakup was described as amicable, but Hough later offered a more personal perspective on why the relationship ran its course. She spoke about the pressure she felt to meet expectations and the realization that she needed space to define herself outside of the relationship’s orbit. Even so, the two managed to remain on good terms in the years that followed, occasionally crossing paths professionally in a way that suggested the connection never fully disappeared, just changed shape.

Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan

Leighton Meester and Sebastian Stan’s relationship grew out of the Gossip Girl universe itself, beginning in 2008 while both were working on the CW series that defined a generation of TV drama. What started as an on-set connection soon turned into a steady two-year romance that, at the time, felt like a natural extension of their shared screen world.

During that period, the pair were often seen together away from set, and Stan in particular spoke warmly about the relationship in later years, describing it as his first serious love. By 2010, however, the romance had run its course, ending quietly but leaving a lasting impression on both actors as they moved into very different phases of their careers.

Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson

Vanessa Hudgens and Josh Hutcherson’s brief connection in 2011 unfolded quietly at first, without much in the way of public confirmation, but it didn’t take long for the two young stars to be linked. Having met through their work on “Journey 2: The Mysterious Island,” they were soon spotted together at events like Coachella, where their easygoing dynamic sparked speculation about a budding romance.

Neither side ever fully leaned into the relationship in a formal sense, and by the time promotion for the film rolled around, the spark had already faded. Hutcherson later acknowledged that they had dated briefly before settling into friendship, framing it as a short-lived chapter that simply didn’t develop into anything long term.

Aubrey Plaza and Michael Cera

Aubrey Plaza and Michael Cera’s relationship emerged out of the offbeat chemistry they shared while working on “Scott Pilgrim vs. the World” in 2010, where their dynamic on set quietly carried over into real life. What followed was a low-key romance that lasted around a year and a half, marked less by Hollywood spectacle and more by the kind of deadpan, unconventional energy both actors are known for.

At one point, the relationship even veered into near-legend territory when Cera later revealed they had seriously considered a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas to get married on a whim. It never happened, but the story only reinforced how unusual their connection was compared to typical celebrity pairings. After parting ways, they remained close friends and eventually crossed paths again professionally, proving that in their case, the breakup never really meant the end of the story.

Bradley Cooper and Renée Zellweger

Bradley Cooper and Renée Zellweger kept their relationship almost entirely out of the spotlight when they began dating around 2009, despite both already being firmly established names in Hollywood. Having first crossed paths years earlier on the set of “Case 39,” they eventually reconnected and quietly built a low-profile relationship that unfolded far away from red carpets and official statements.

Even without confirmation from either side at the time, their connection became apparent through a handful of public sightings, from Sundance Film Festival appearances to more personal moments alongside Cooper’s family. By March 2011, the relationship had come to an end, with industry pressure and Cooper’s rapidly accelerating career often cited as contributing factors.

A rare public return from the actor underscores the long-awaited revival of a cult comedy classic.

Rick Moranis has stepped back into the spotlight in a way audiences haven’t seen in decades. According to Variety, the actor recently joined key cast members at CinemaCon to help unveil “Spaceballs: The New One,” marking his first major public appearance tied to a film in nearly 30 years.

A Long-Awaited Return for a Reluctant Star

The moment carried particular weight given Moranis’ career path. Widely recognized for roles in “Ghostbusters” and “Little Shop of Horrors,” the actor gradually withdrew from on-screen work in the late 1990s after the death of his wife, choosing to focus on raising his children as a single parent.

While he never formally retired and continued to do voice acting, he largely avoided the kind of high-profile, studio-driven appearances that define Hollywood promotion cycles.

That context made his presence at CinemaCon yesterday notable. He took the stage to present the first trailer for the sequel to “Spaceballs.” Leaning into the franchise’s irreverent tone, the footage skewers a wide range of sci-fi staples, from “Star Wars” to more contemporary blockbusters, with Moranis reprising his role as the comically menacing Dark Helmet.

The continuation, officially titled “Spaceballs: The New One,” was introduced via a pre-recorded message from Brooks, who did not attend in person. The 99-year-old filmmaker confirmed the title and set the tone for a project that appears committed to updating its satire for a modern audience while retaining its original ensemble. Returning cast members include Brooks, Bill Pullman, George Wyner, and Daphne Zuniga, with newcomers such as Keke Palmer and Lewis Pullman in undisclosed roles.

Behind the camera, Josh Greenbaum directs from a script co-written by Josh Gad, Benji Samit and Dan Hernandez. Plot specifics remain tightly guarded, with the studio signaling that the film will once again take aim at major genre franchises.

The studio signals a renewed commitment to one of its biggest 2010s hits.

After years of development hell, Paramount is once again moving forward with a follow-up to “World War Z,” reviving a project that had long been considered dormant.

According to ScreenRant, the studio confirmed during its CinemaCon presentation that a new installment is now in development, marking a notable shift after the previously planned sequel was scrapped in 2019.

The ‘World War Z’ Sequel Emerges from Years of Uncertainty

The announcement effectively resets a franchise that, despite its commercial strength, struggled to find a viable path forward after its initial success. The original 2013 film, headlined by Brad Pitt, delivered more than $540 million at the global box office and remains one of Paramount’s most successful releases of that decade. Yet attempts to build a sequel repeatedly faltered, even with high-profile talent attached at various stages.

Among those earlier efforts was a version that would have brought David Fincher into the director’s chair, a collaboration that generated significant industry interest before ultimately collapsing. The project was formally abandoned in 2019 following a combination of logistical and financial hurdles, leaving the future of the property uncertain for years.

Paramount’s latest update offers few specifics about the direction of the new entry, including whether it will continue the story established in the original or take a different approach within the same universe. No creative team has been announced, and there is no production timeline in place at this stage.

Brad Pitt, whose Plan B Entertainment developed and produced the first film, is expected to be involved again. However, it remains unclear whether he will return on screen as former United Nations investigator Gerry Lane or limit his role to producing duties.

For now, the project remains in early development, with additional details likely to emerge as Paramount further defines its strategy for reactivating the franchise.

Paramount signals its intent to continue one of its most reliable theatrical franchises with a third installment now moving ahead.

The studio is pushing forward with another chapter in its long-running aviation saga, confirming that Tom Cruise is set to reprise his role as Pete “Maverick” Mitchell.

According to Variety, the announcement was made during the studio’s CinemaCon presentation in Las Vegas, where producer Jerry Bruckheimer was also confirmed to return.

A Third Mission Takes Shape After ‘Maverick’ Success

The new installment builds on the momentum of “Top Gun: Maverick,” the 2022 sequel directed by Joseph Kosinski, which reintroduced Cruise’s veteran pilot to a new generation of audiences.

The film paired legacy storytelling with a younger ensemble, including Miles Teller, Glen Powell, and Monica Barbaro, while centering on Maverick’s efforts to train elite graduates for a high-risk mission tied to his past.

Development on a follow-up has been underway for some time. Variety says plans for a third picture first surfaced in 2024, with Ehren Kruger attached to write the screenplay after previously collaborating on “Maverick” alongside Eric Warren Singer and Christopher McQuarrie.

The decision to move ahead is closely tied to the commercial and critical performance of “Maverick.” The film became a defining theatrical success of its release year, earning widespread acclaim and securing multiple Academy Award nominations, including Best Picture, while ultimately winning for Best Sound. Its global box office total reached nearly $1.5 billion, marking the highest-grossing release of Cruise’s career.

While specific plot details and a production timeline for “Top Gun 3” remain undisclosed, the returning creative team points to a continuation rather than a reinvention. With Cruise and Bruckheimer back in place, Paramount appears to be leaning on a proven formula as it prepares its next high-altitude entry.

The Oscar-winning actor opens up about why his own transparency makes performing harder than it looks.

Adrien Brody has built a career on intensity and precision, but he is the first to admit that his process is far from effortless. In a recent interview with Variety, the two-time Academy Award winner offered a candid, self-deprecating take on his craft while preparing for a major new chapter on stage.

A Reluctant Perfectionist Steps Onto Broadway

Backstage at the James Earl Jones Theatre, Adrien Brody framed his approach to acting in unexpectedly blunt terms: “I always say I’m a terrible actor because you know when I don’t like something. You know where I stand.”

That lack of concealment shapes the way he works. Instead of smoothing over moments that feel off, he leans into problem-solving mid-process, pushing himself to reach something truthful rather than simply presentable. “I have to work hard to create a solution for myself so I don’t have to hide it,” he stated.

The stage has long presented a different kind of pressure. Brody has avoided it not out of disinterest, but because of the precision it demands. “One of the deterrents of doing work on stage was because I know how specific I am and what I need to zone in,” he noted, alluding to the sustained focus required in a live setting. “I can do all of the pieces that are required to portray this character; I can do in spades. But it requires a level of attentiveness that I don’t normally possess.”

Brody is preparing for his Broadway debut in “The Fear of 13,” where he stars as Nick Yarris. Based on David Sington’s 2015 documentary, the production centers on Yarris’ fight to overturn a wrongful conviction that kept him on death row for more than two decades. Adapted for the stage by Lindsey Ferrentino, the play premiered in London before transferring to New York following a sold-out run.

The fashion mogul addressed months of speculation with a measured response centered on family and privacy.

According to Variety, Victoria Beckham has addressed the ongoing rift with her son Brooklyn Beckham for the first time, offering a restrained public response after months of escalating headlines surrounding the family dispute.

Victoria Beckham Addresses Family Rift With Brooklyn

In a new interview with The Wall Street Journal, Beckham chose a notably careful tone when the conversation turned to her relationship with her children, including Brooklyn. Rather than engaging directly with the accusations that have circulated in recent months, she framed her response around the family’s long history in the spotlight. “I think that we’ve always — we love our children so much,” she said.

Source: Pascal Le Segretain/Getty Images

The former Spice Girl, who has spent decades navigating life in the public eye alongside husband David Beckham, pointed to that visibility as a defining factor in how the family operates. “We’ve always tried to be the best parents that we can be,” she continued.

Her remarks arrive after a turbulent period marked by public allegations from Brooklyn regarding his upbringing and his parents’ role in his marriage to Nicola Peltz. The fallout traces back to tensions surrounding the couple’s 2022 wedding, with disputes over planning decisions and family dynamics spilling into the public sphere over time.

While Beckham did not address individual claims, she made clear where she intends to draw the line. “We’ve been in the public eye for more than 30 years right now, and all we’ve ever tried to do is protect our children and love our children,” she said, closing off further elaboration. “That’s all I really want to say about it.”

The response, measured and contained, suggests no appetite for a prolonged public back-and-forth, even as the family’s private tensions continue to attract outsized attention.

The first look positions the classic heist tale as a sharper, more personal cat-and-mouse story.

With a recent Oscar win behind him, Michael B. Jordan arrived at CinemaCon ready to shift the conversation to what comes next: his remake of “The Thomas Crown Affair.” According to Variety, the actor-director unveiled early footage that reframes the glossy heist tale with a more personal edge.

A Classic Heist Reframed for a New Era

The footage, which opened Amazon MGM Studios’ presentation, introduced Jordan as the enigmatic billionaire at the center of the story, matched against an investigator played by Adria Arjona. Their dynamic unfolds through a series of escalating art thefts, with the pursuit taking on both professional and personal stakes as the two circle each other.

Source: Ethan Miller/Getty Images

Jordan has been clear that his approach is not about revisiting familiar ground. “I didn’t want a reboot. I wanted a reimagination,” he said previously to Variety, drawing a line between his version and earlier iterations of the property.

“The first two films were about rich white guys stealing for fun. That doesn’t land today. Ours is more personal. The stakes are higher. Still got the fashion, romance,” he added. That balance appears central to the tone teased at CinemaCon, where polished visuals and charged chemistry sit alongside a more defined sense of purpose.

The supporting cast expands the picture’s scope, with Kenneth Branagh positioned as a looming antagonist and a lineup that includes Lily Gladstone, Danai Gurira, and Aubrey Plaza. Behind the camera, Drew Pearce pens the script, anchoring a project that has been in development in various forms for years before landing with Jordan as director.

Set for release on March 5, 2027, the movie marks Jordan’s return to directing after “Creed III,” but with a noticeably broader canvas. If the early footage is any indication, this “Thomas Crown Affair” is aiming to blend glossy escapism with a more grounded emotional and thematic core, while keeping the franchise’s trademark allure intact.

The legendary director used CinemaCon to deliver a pointed message about the industry’s creative future while unveiling his latest sci fi spectacle.

In an appearance that blended showmanship with a clear industry message, Steven Spielberg took the CinemaCon stage to debut new footage from his upcoming film “Disclosure Day.“

According to Variety, the filmmaker used the moment not just to promote his latest project, but to press studios on the direction of modern moviemaking and the need to prioritize originality.

A Blockbuster Return With a Message

“Disclosure Day” marks Spielberg’s first full scale summer blockbuster in years, following a stretch defined by more personal films like “The Fabelmans.” This time, he returns to familiar territory with a story centered on extraterrestrial contact and a government effort to conceal it, echoing themes that have shaped much of his career.

Source: Ethan Miller/Getty Images

The project reunites him with screenwriter David Koepp and features a cast led by Emily Blunt, Josh O’Connor, and Colin Firth. Production took place across New York, New Jersey, and Atlanta, with longtime collaborator John Williams returning to score the picture. It is set for release on June 12.

While the footage teased large scale action and fleeting glimpses of alien life, Spielberg’s remarks shifted the focus to the theatrical experience itself. He praised Universal Pictures for extending its exclusive theatrical window, calling on the industry to go further. “Audiences will find what they want to watch, whether the films are big or small, but studios need to help us by greatly expanding the exclusive windows,” he said, before adding, “Today I’ve got to be greedy. Do I hear 60 days? Do I hear 120 days?”

Beyond release strategies, Spielberg delivered his most pointed warning when addressing the industry’s dependence on familiar properties. “If all we make is known, branded IP, we’re going to run out of gas,” he said. He followed that with a broader appeal to filmmakers and studios alike: “There is nothing more important than giving the audience visual stories, and they can be in any form, but we need to tell more original stories.”

The timing of that message, paired with the launch of a movie built from an original idea, positions “Disclosure Day “as more than just another entry in Spielberg’s filmography. It arrives as both a return to spectacle and a statement about where the director believes Hollywood should be headed next.

The actor’s latest denim collaboration pivots toward humor while keeping a charitable component at its core.

Sydney Sweeney is back in business with American Eagle, reuniting with the brand for a new campaign that leans into a lighter tone after last year’s widely debated rollout.

According to TMZ, the actor has partnered once again with the retailer to introduce a fresh line of jean shorts timed for the summer season, marking her second high-profile collaboration with the company.

A Reset in Tone for Sydney Sweeney’s Latest American Eagle Campaign

Sydney Sweeney returns to American Eagle with “Syd for Short: American Eagle Jean Shorts,” a campaign that trades the more suggestive styling of her previous denim push for something noticeably more playful. The new visuals position Sweeney in a spirited, self-aware light.

The campaign video, available on American Eagle’s official YouTube channel, underscores that shift. In it, Sweeney playfully leans into the brand recognition surrounding her partnership, asking the camera, “What brand am I wearing?” before flashing a knowing smile and adding, “Yeah, that one,” signaling a more relaxed and self-referential approach to the rollout.

The tonal pivot follows the backlash tied to her July 2025 campaign, which became a flashpoint for online debate. While the controversy generated significant scrutiny, it also translated into strong engagement and commercial performance for the brand, setting the stage for her return in 2026.

As with her initial collaboration, the new collection incorporates a philanthropic element. Select items from the “Syd for Short” line will support Crisis Text Line, a nonprofit organization that provides round-the-clock mental health assistance.

Beyond fashion, Sweeney’s broader slate remains packed. She continues to balance acting and producing duties, with recent projects including the thriller “The Housemaid” and the final season of “Euphoria.” Through her company, Fifty-Fifty Films, she has expanded her footprint behind the camera, even as brand partnerships across beauty and fashion keep her firmly in the commercial spotlight.

A first look at the dark comedy reveals a radically different side of the actor, as early awards speculation begins to take shape.

The first extended footage of “Digger” has arrived, placing Tom Cruise at the center of one of the most awaited reveals of CinemaCon. According to Deadline, the presentation from Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures offered a clearer look at the long-guarded project, directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, while hinting at a performance that departs sharply from Cruise’s recent screen persona.

A Transformative Turn Anchors Iñárritu’s Dark Satire

The footage introduces Cruise as Digger Rockwell, a powerful industrialist whose actions trigger a global environmental crisis. The character is depicted as erratic and self-mythologizing, oscillating between grand declarations and moments of volatility as he attempts to frame himself as humanity’s only solution to the catastrophe he set in motion.

Source: IMDb

The tonal balance leans into absurdity, with scenes that juxtapose personal insecurity and global consequence, signaling a satirical approach consistent with Iñárritu’s stated themes of control and delusion.

Visually and physically, the role marks a departure for Cruise. Deadline and other news sites that had the chance to watch the trailer reported that the actor appears with a markedly altered look, adopting exaggerated mannerisms and a shifting accent that underscore the character’s instability.

The footage highlights moments of dark humor alongside escalating stakes, including warnings from government officials, with the U.S. president, played by John Goodman, outlining the scale of the unfolding disaster and its potential global impact.

The collaboration itself has been years in the making. Cruise noted that early conversations with Iñárritu began several years ago, culminating in a project he described as creatively ambitious and tonally distinct from his recent work. For Iñárritu, the picture represents a return to English-language filmmaking following “The Revenant,” with a focus on character-driven storytelling framed within a large-scale premise.

Iñárritu emphasized the demands of the role, describing Cruise’s performance as a different kind of risk compared to the physical feats that have defined much of his career. He pointed to the psychological complexity of the character and the challenge of sustaining its extremes, framing the performance as one of the most demanding of the actor’s career.

Set for release on October 2, Digger features an ensemble that includes Sandra Hüller, Jesse Plemons, and Riz Ahmed, among others. With its blend of satire, scale, and a lead performance positioned as a significant departure, the film enters the conversation early as a potential contender in the upcoming awards season.

The horror breakout that became an independent box office phenomenon is officially moving into its next chapter.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Osgood Perkins is developing a new feature set in the world of “Longlegs,” extending the mythology of the 2024 mystery horror hit that unexpectedly became the highest-grossing independent film of its year. The project reunites Perkins with Nicolas Cage, who is set to return not only as star but also as producer.

The new installment signals a shift in studio stewardship for the property, with Paramount Pictures now backing the project after the original entry was distributed by Neon. Perkins is once again writing, directing, and producing, continuing his hands-on role in shaping the evolving franchise framework.

A New Chapter in the ‘Longlegs’ Universe

The follow-up project expands the narrative universe introduced in “Longlegs,” the 2024 thriller that followed an FBI investigation into a series of ritualistic family murders tied to an elusive serial killer. Blending procedural elements with occult horror, the film became a breakout success for Perkins and cemented Cage’s performance as one of its defining creative anchors.

Unlike a direct sequel, the new movie is described as a story set within the same universe rather than a continuation of the original plot. That distinction suggests a broader approach to world-building, allowing new characters and cases to emerge while retaining connective thematic threads.

The original picture’s performance helped elevate Perkins’ profile in genre filmmaking, with its strong box office return of $128 million against a modest $10 million budget positioning it as a rare mid-budget horror success in recent years.

Industry reporting indicates that the move from Neon to Paramount reflects both creative ambition and scale, with the new project requiring a larger production framework than the original distributor typically handles.

With Perkins steering the project and Cage returning in a producing and starring capacity, the “Longlegs” universe appears poised to evolve beyond a single breakout title into a more expansive horror property under Paramount’s growing genre slate.

The band reflects on how far their global reach could extend.

BTS is easing back into global dominance with the same precision that defined their pre-hiatus peak, and now the conversation is shifting toward where that momentum could take them next.

In a recent conversation with The Rolling Stone, the group reflected on their return, their new era, and the increasingly global shape of pop culture in the post-hiatus landscape, including the Super Bowl halftime stage that has long hovered at the edge of speculation for them.

BTS Reopens The Super Bowl Conversation

After years away fulfilling mandatory military service and pursuing solo work, BTS have returned with a tightly coordinated comeback cycle that has already reestablished them at the center of global pop music. Their 2026 studio album Arirang, released March 20, arrived alongside an ambitious worldwide rollout and a 2026–2027 tour spanning dozens of cities.

In the interview, the group expressed admiration for Bad Bunny’s recent performance on the NFL’s biggest stage, pointing to how moments like that continue to reshape expectations for non-English acts in global broadcast events. “We can’t do it unless we’re invited,” Jimin said, framing the idea of a Super Bowl performance as something aspirational but still dependent on the industry’s gatekeepers.

Jin was more openly imaginative about the possibility, describing how he already envisions what such a performance could look like if it were to happen. Meanwhile, RM grounded the discussion in a longer view of cultural change, noting, “It’s possible, if time passes and people’s mindsets change. Everyone is watching Parasite and all these wonderful things about Korean culture, so if the opportunity arises, we would definitely want to do it someday.”

For BTS, the Super Bowl is not positioned as an immediate goal but as part of a broader trajectory that has defined their post-hiatus chapter: sustained global expansion, record-breaking streaming events, and a tour designed to stretch across continents through 2027.

With Arirang already topping charts and their Netflix-backed comeback concert drawing massive international viewership, the group’s return is less a comeback than a reaffirmation of scale, and the Super Bowl question now feels less hypothetical than simply a matter of timing and invitation.

The neo-Western expands its future footprint with an early renewal.

According to Variety, Paramount+ has renewed “The Madison” for a third season, continuing its expansion before audiences have even seen the already completed second part.

The neo-Western premiered in March and quickly positioned itself as one of the platform’s strongest recent launches tied to Taylor Sheridan’s slate of original programming.

‘The Madison’ Secures Continued Run

The renewal arrives as something of an unusual programming cadence takes shape around the series. While Season 1 reached viewers through a split-release model across March, Season 2 has already been filmed but has not yet been scheduled for release. Despite that gap, Paramount+ has opted to move forward with Season 3, signaling long-term confidence in the property.

The show’s early performance appears to have played a central role in that decision. Within its first 10 days on Paramount+, “The Madison” recorded approximately 8 million viewers globally, marking the strongest debut associated with a Taylor Sheridan project on the platform to date.

Set in the Madison River valley in Montana, the series follows the Clyburn family as they relocate from New York after a devastating tragedy reshapes their lives. The narrative focuses on grief, adjustment, and strained family relationships as the characters attempt to rebuild in an unfamiliar rural environment.

Michelle Pfeiffer and Kurt Russell headline the ensemble cast, joined by Beau Garrett, Patrick J. Adams, Elle Chapman, Amiah Miller, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Matthew Fox, and Will Arnett. The show continues Taylor Sheridan’s ongoing collaboration with Paramount+, which has steadily expanded across multiple interconnected and standalone titles.

With Season 2 already completed and Season 3 now formally greenlit, “The Madison” is positioned for a multi-season trajectory, even as its release timeline remains in flux.

The longtime studio chief took aim at bloated pre-show advertising.

The modern moviegoing ritual has quietly shifted, with audiences timing their arrivals to skip what many see as an overstuffed prelude. According to Variety, Sony Pictures Motion Picture Group CEO Tom Rothman used his CinemaCon appearance in Las Vegas to deliver a pointed message to theater owners about the growing length of pre-movie advertising.

A Direct Message to Exhibitors at CinemaCon

Taking the stage at the event, Rothman did not soften his stance, urging exhibitors to rethink the extended blocks of trailers and commercials that now precede films. “Get off the ad crack,” he said, before calling on theaters to “get rid of the endless advertising and substantially shorten the long pre-shows.”

The issue, as he framed it, is not merely one of annoyance but of diminishing returns. With many screenings now front-loaded with roughly 30 minutes of content before a film begins, audiences have adapted by arriving late. As Rothman put it, “don’t even see the trailers,” turning what should be a key promotional tool into “enticements gone to waste.”

The remarks came as Rothman struck a cautiously optimistic tone about the theatrical business overall. He pointed to a potential rebound in 2026, fueled in part by major releases like “Super Mario Galaxy Movie” and “Project Hail Mary,” while acknowledging that attendance still has not fully recovered to pre-pandemic levels.

Beyond advertising, Rothman reiterated a long-held position on theatrical exclusivity. He urged exhibitors to remain firm on release windows, arguing that a stronger commitment to keeping films in theaters is essential to the ecosystem. “Enforce longer windows,” he said, adding, “Yes, even if that means you cannot play every film.”

As the search for the next 007 heats up, the conversation around the franchise’s essential female lead is gaining just as much momentum.

With a new era of James Bond on the horizon, fans and critics alike are speculating on which performers possess the necessary blend of gravitas, physicality, and modern edge to share the screen with the next British superspy.

The role has evolved significantly over the last decade, transitioning from a stylistic trope to a crucial, often high-stakes partner in international espionage. This shift has opened the door for a diverse range of talent, from seasoned action stars to breakout dramatic leads. Here are the ten actresses currently leading the fan-casting conversations.

Sydney Sweeney

Fresh off a string of box-office hits and a notable pivot into the thriller genre with “The Housemaid,” the American actress has proven she can carry a film with both vulnerability and steely resolve.

Her recent work demonstrates a range that moves easily between high-stakes tension and effortless charisma, qualities that align perfectly with the modern Bond aesthetic.

Jodie Comer

The British sensation, widely celebrated for her chameleonic performance in “Killing Eve,” remains a top contender due to her unparalleled ability to balance menace with elegance.

After stepping into historical epics like the upcoming “Robin Hood” alongside Hugh Jackman, she continues to display the level of physical commitment the Bond franchise demands.

Anya Taylor-Joy

With her ethereal screen presence and a proven track record in high-octane projects like “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” Taylor-Joy offers a unique, avant-garde energy that could revitalize the franchise’s visual language.

Her performance in the espionage-tinged “The Gorge” further cemented her status as an actress who thrives in the intersection of mystery and action. She possesses a distinct, intellectual intensity that would make for a fascinating intellectual foil to a new, younger Bond.

Naomi Scott

After making a major impact in the action-comedy space, the British actress and singer has recently expanded her portfolio with more grounded, intense performances.

The 2026 release of her debut studio album F.I.G. highlights her multi-faceted talent, while her past experience in franchises like “Charlie’s Angels” provides the foundational stunt work necessary for a Bond film.

Lupita Nyong’o

An Academy Award winner with a commanding presence, Nyong’o has already stepped into the world of espionage in “The 355” while anchoring a global franchise with the “Black Panther” series.

Her ability to convey deep emotional stakes in the midst of chaotic action, as seen in “A Quiet Place: Day One,” makes her an ideal choice for a more seasoned, authoritative character.

Vanessa Kirby

Known for her scene-stealing turns as the White Widow in the “Mission: Impossible” films, Kirby is perhaps the most “Bond-ready” actress on this list.

Her portrayal of Sue Storm in Marvel’s “The Fantastic Four: First Steps” further highlights her ability to anchor massive blockbusters while maintaining a sophisticated, British sensibility.

Florence Pugh

Pugh has built a career on characters who refuse to be sidelined, making her a natural fit for a franchise looking to subvert old-fashioned expectations.

Whether she is leading a Marvel ensemble or a psychological drama like “Midsommar,” her grounded, muscular acting style ensures that her characters always feel like the smartest people in the room.

Maya Hawke

As a rising star with a penchant for playing resourceful and witty outsiders, Hawke offers a fresh, youthful perspective that could appeal to a new generation of Bond fans.

Her growth through “Stranger Things” suggests an actress who is ready to step into a larger spotlight without losing her signature quirk. She would be an excellent choice for a tech-savvy or undercover operative who relies more on intellect and charm than brute force.

Jodie Turner-Smith

Turner-Smith possesses a striking, statuesque presence that demands attention whenever she is on screen, a trait that served her well in “Queen & Slim” and “Tron: Ares.”

Her recent work in the espionage series “The Agency” underscores her capacity for the cloak and dagger nuances of the genre. She embodies a level of modern glamour and toughness that feels both timeless and entirely necessary for the franchise’s survival.

Adria Arjona

Following her breakout success in “Hit Man” and her recent casting in “Man of Tomorrow,” the upcoming “Superman” sequel, Arjona has become one of the most sought-after names in Hollywood.

Her ability to blend high-intensity action with a disarming, charismatic warmth has made her a favorite among directors looking for a versatile leading lady.

The DC Universe’s next chapter continues to take shape.

According to an exclusive by The Hollywood Reporter, James Gunn has locked in a pivotal casting choice for “Man of Tomorrow,” the highly anticipated follow-up to “Superman.”

After a competitive series of screen tests, Adria Arjona has secured a mystery role in the developing DC Studios project, though the exact nature of her character remains under wraps.

A Final Piece Falls Into Place for DC Studios’ Expanding Superman Saga

Arjona’s casting arrives after what The Hollywood Reporter describes as an extensive search process, culminating in screen tests held in Atlanta earlier this month. Among those reportedly in contention were Eva De Dominici, Sydney Chandler, and Grace Van Patten. Early speculation pointed to the character being the comic-book antihero Maxima, though that detail remains unconfirmed.

The sequel will once again be led by David Corenswet as Superman, alongside Nicholas Hoult returning as Lex Luthor. In a notable shift, the film is expected to explore a reluctant alliance between hero and villain as they confront Brainiac, portrayed by Lars Eidinger. The dynamic underscores earlier comments from Gunn that the project would function as much as a Lex story as it is a Superman one.

Returning players from the 2025 film include Rachel Brosnahan as Lois Lane and Skyler Gisondo as Jimmy Olsen, along with Sara Sampaio, Isabela Merced, Nathan Fillion, and Edi Gathegi.

For Arjona, the role marks another high-profile addition to a résumé that has steadily gained momentum across television and film. She drew significant attention for her performance in “Andor” and has moved fluidly between genres with projects such as “Good Omens” and the film “Hit Man.” Her casting in “Man of Tomorrow” positions her squarely within one of the industry’s most closely watched franchise rebuilds.

The Oscar-winning reboot’s follow-up raises the stakes, pushing its story and spectacle into new territory.

The next chapter in Toho’s revived kaiju saga is coming into sharper focus as “Godzilla Minus Zero” expands both its scope and setting.

According to Variety, the project was previewed for exhibitors at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where early footage and creative details outlined how the follow-up to “Godzilla Minus One” intends to evolve its story and scale.

Expanding the Fallout of ‘Minus One’

Director Takashi Yamazaki returns to continue the narrative thread established in the 2023 film, picking up two years after the devastation left by Godzilla’s previous attack. The story once again centers on survivors grappling with the aftermath, suggesting a continuation of the human-scale perspective that distinguished its predecessor even as the threat grows larger.

That escalation is literal as well as thematic. The new installment shifts part of its focus beyond Japan, culminating in imagery that places the creature at the doorstep of New York City, with the Statue of Liberty emerging as a symbolic target.

Behind the scenes, Yamazaki is working with a budget that surpasses the relatively modest resources of the previous film, which was produced for under $15 million. Despite that constraint, “Minus One” became a global success, earning more than $100 million worldwide and securing the Academy Award for Best Visual Effects, a first for a non-English language film in that category.

The sequel also marks a technical step forward. It has been produced with IMAX exhibition in mind, positioning it as a landmark release for Japanese cinema in the premium large format space. The emphasis on scale is reflected in the production design, which incorporates detailed practical builds alongside visual effects overseen by Yamazaki and longtime collaborators.

Returning cast members include Ryunosuke Kamiki and Minami Hamabe, alongside Munetaka Aoki and Hidetaka Yoshioka. The film is scheduled to open in Japan on November 3, followed by a North American release on November 6, as Toho continues to build on renewed global momentum for its long-running franchise.

Mounting pressure in Europe is putting the rapper’s upcoming live dates under increasing scrutiny.

Kanye West is facing growing resistance across Europe as authorities weigh whether his planned performances can move forward amid ongoing controversy. According to Variety, French officials are now examining legal avenues to prevent him from taking the stage in Marseille, following a recent decision by the United Kingdom to deny him entry.

“Not Welcome”: Marseille Mayor Speaks Out as France Weighs Ban

The effort to block the concert has been reinforced at the local level, where Marseille mayor Benoît Payan has taken a firm public stance on X. “I refuse to let Marseille be a showcase for those who promote hatred and unapologetic Nazism,” he wrote, adding that “Kanye West is not welcome at the Vélodrome, our temple of living together and of all Marseillais.”

That position has fed into broader discussions within the French government, as Interior Minister Laurent Nuñez examines whether there is a legal basis to intervene. His office confirmed that options are being reviewed.

Despite the strong rhetoric, French law sets a high bar for preventing a performance. Authorities must establish that an event could pose a concrete threat to public order or potentially involve criminal conduct, a standard that has led to consultations with regional officials, including prefect Jacques Witkowski.

The developments come shortly after the United Kingdom denied entry to Kanye West ahead of his scheduled appearance at London’s Wireless Festival. That decision triggered a cascade of consequences, including sponsor withdrawals and the eventual cancellation of the event.

As discussions continue in France, the fate of the Marseille concert remains uncertain, with legal considerations now central to whether the performance can go ahead.

As legal battles dragged on, the actor says his health deteriorated

According to People, drawing from The Hollywood Reporter’s Awards Chatter podcast, Alec Baldwin is opening up about the physical and emotional toll that followed the fatal 2021 “Rust” shooting, offering a candid account of how the prolonged ordeal affected his health, career, and life at home.

A Health Crisis in the Wake of ‘Rust’

The years following the “Rust” tragedy reshaped Baldwin’s daily life in ways that extended far beyond the courtroom. Reflecting on that period, he described it plainly: “That was unspeakably difficult to deal with.”

Work slowed to a near halt as he retreated from public life. “I wound up staying home a lot. I was home with my kids for three-and-a-half years — I hardly worked at all … I don’t want to leave my house anymore. I don’t. I don’t want to work anymore. I don’t. I really don’t. I want to retire and stay home with my kids,” he said.

At the same time, Baldwin was dealing with a medical condition that complicated even basic routines. “It impacted me in every way — financially, career-wise, my wife, my kids, my health. I was so sick,” he said, before explaining that he developed orthostatic hypotension, a condition that can trigger sudden drops in blood pressure and cause blackouts. “So I had to go [finish the film], and I was really sick.”

The symptoms became severe enough to sideline him completely. Recalling one episode, he said, “I blacked out three times during the St. Patrick’s Day weekend of that year, and fell on top of my wife once. It was crazy. It was horrible. So I get into bed. I’m in bed for eight days. I can’t get out of bed. I can’t walk. I had to go to physical therapy for two weeks.”

Despite that, obligations tied to the production remained in place. Baldwin ultimately returned to Montana to complete “Rust,” a requirement linked to a settlement with the family of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins. “I had to get up on a horse and go back there to Montana to finish the film, or they were going to sue the s*** out of me,” he said, adding, “I don’t give the performance I want to give because I’m sick, but I did the best I could.”

Iron Maiden Finally Inducted Into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame After Two Decades of Eligibility

After years of debate and near-misses, one of heavy metal’s most influential acts secures its place among music’s most recognized institutions.

The long-running omission of Iron Maiden from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame has finally come to an end. The band will join the Class of 2026, closing a chapter that has lingered since they first became eligible in 2005.

A Long-Delayed Recognition for Heavy Metal’s Standard Bearers

For more than two decades, Iron Maiden’s absence from the Hall sparked recurring criticism, particularly given their global sales exceeding 100 million records and their role in shaping modern heavy metal.

Despite nominations in 2021 and 2023, the band was repeatedly passed over, fueling a broader conversation about the institution’s historical reluctance to fully embrace the genre.

The 2026 class signals a shift, with a notable presence of British artists including Oasis and Sade alongside Iron Maiden in the performer category. The lineup also features names such as Phil Collins, Billy Idol, and Wu-Tang Clan.

Within Iron Maiden’s camp, the recognition has been framed less as validation and more as acknowledgment of a decades-long connection with their audience. Manager Rod Smallwood noted that while awards were never central to the band’s ethos, the honor carries weight, particularly as it encompasses the group’s full history, including former members who contributed to its evolution.

The timing also aligns with their ongoing Run For Your Lives World Tour, which revisits multiple eras of their catalog. That broader scope is expected to extend to the Hall of Fame induction itself, highlighting the band’s shifting lineups and enduring identity across generations.

Beyond Iron Maiden, the 2026 inductees span multiple categories, with figures like Celia Cruz recognized for early influence and Rick Rubin honored for musical excellence. Together, the class underscores a continued effort to widen the Hall’s historical lens while addressing long-standing omissions that have defined its reputation.

A new descent into the further is imminent as the long-running horror saga prepares to unveil its next chapter.

The next installment in the “Insidious” franchise is officially moving into its promotional phase, with its first trailer set to debut Monday ahead of a late summer theatrical rollout.

The film is positioned as a direct continuation of the events established in “Insidious: The Red Door,” expanding the mythology of the Further while introducing a new ensemble of characters.

A New Chapter Expands the Reach of the Further

Titled “Insidious: Out of the Further,” the upcoming title marks the sixth entry in the supernatural horror series originally created by James Wan and Leigh Whannell. This time, directing duties fall to Jacob Chase, who also receives screenplay credit after developing the story alongside David Leslie Johnson-McGoldrick.

The picture follows a new family whose lives are upended when a group of intruders forces them into the astral realm known as the Further. What begins as a home invasion escalates into something far more unsettling, as the boundary between the spirit world and reality begins to fracture.

A fresh cast leads the narrative, including Amelia Eve, Brandon Perea, and Maisie Richardson-Sellers, alongside Sam Spruell and Laura Gordon. Franchise mainstay Lin Shaye returns once again as Elise Rainier, maintaining a throughline that has anchored the series since its early chapters.

Production on the film took place in Australia, with principal photography running from late September to mid-November 2025. The project underwent a title change during post-production, having initially been titled “Insidious: The Bleeding World.”

“Insidious: Out of the Further” is scheduled to arrive in theaters on August 21, via Sony Pictures Releasing. The franchise, which began in 2010, has built a reputation for delivering high returns on modest budgets, collectively grossing over $700 million worldwide and continuing to evolve its central mythology with each new installment.
