<h2>Who will be joining the cast of the second season ‘Beef’?</h2>



<p>While at first it was reported that <strong>Anne Hathaway </strong>and <strong>Jake Gyllenhgaal</strong> would be leading the second season of ‘Beef,’ Deadline now reports that the plan <strong><em>“ultimately did not come to fruition.”</em></strong></p>



<p>Now, however, producers are eyeing <strong>Oscar Isaac</strong> and <strong>Carey Mulligan</strong> to take on the roles intended for the former. But there’s no official comment on the casting by Netflix yet. He investigated the drug trafficking scene in the region, weaving the most significant aspects of this<strong> criminal activity into Ana and Daniel’s narrative.</strong></p>



<p>He dedicated weeks to investigating the drug clans of Galicia, an extensive autonomous community in Spain that includes the provinces of<strong> La Coruña, Lugo, Ourense,</strong> and <strong>Pontevedra</strong>, encompassing three hundred and thirteen municipalities.</p>

<p>The actors met with real drug traffickers and their associates to “ground” the story, according to Lago, the star of the show. In an interview with La Vanguardia, she said: <em><strong>“It helps us dispel the notion that drug trafficking stories are far removed from our reality</strong></em>.”</p>



<p>Lago reached out to individuals who were<strong> in similar positions to her character</strong>. <em>“Connecting with people who have been or are involved in this has been incredibly valuable for us, allowing us to understand what it’s like to sit across from someone from that world,”</em> the actress shared with eCartelera.</p>
