The supernatural drama was created by Esta Spalding and Michelle Ashford, based on the novel trilogy Lives of the Mayfair Witches by Rice. However, it’s not the only series inspired by the work of the author, as it is part of the Immortal Universe, which started with “Interview with the Vampire.

The story follows neurosurgeon Dr. Rowan Fielding as she learns she is the heiress to a dynasty of powerful witches haunted by a sinister spirit. Beth Grant, Erica Gimpel, Annabeth Gish, Geraldine Singer, Hannah Alline, Ravi Naidu, Jen Ricjhards, Keyara Milliner, Charlayne Woodard and Suleka Mathew complete the cast.

It’s expected that the season will arrive next year, after production suffered some delay due to the strikes. The series is interconnected with “Interview With the Vampire,” as well as with an upcoming series titled “The Talamasca.”
