After an incredible year in which Anya Taylor-Joy dominated the screen with hits like the sequel to Dune and Furiosa, it seems her schedule is becoming increasingly tight, as she will now star in a Netflix series.
The streaming giant will bring back the iconic actress to portray murderous Grace Bernard, the main character in the drama based on Bella Mackie’s bestselling book of the same name (which was published in 2021).
We have seen on multiple occasions that she is a specialist and possesses great talent for suspense genres, as evidenced in The Menu. Therefore, we can undoubtedly expect “twists and darker crimes” in the new thriller.
What is How to Kill Your Family about?
The story is a dark and satirical thriller that follows Grace Bernard, a young woman who plans and carries out a series of murders with the goal of eliminating her family. Check out the official synopsis of the series:

Who is the cast of How to Kill Your Family?
So far, only Anya Taylor-Joy has been confirmed as a cast member and will star in the first season of the drama. Tudum reported that she will reveal some killer tips and tricks as Grace Bernard.
The book‘s author, Bella Mackie, spoke about the actress and said that “she is the perfect fit to play Grace” and added, “I often think she understands the character better than I do“.

On the other hand, the main star also spoke about her upcoming project and confided to Tudum that she is really excited about working on the drama, saying she can’t wait to get started. She also confessed:
“As soon as I turned the last page, I knew I had to be a part of bringing this story to life. After some (light) stalking of the inimitable Bella Mackie, I could not be more thrilled to be collaborating with the team“.

Tudum reported that the title is the first series from Sid Gentle Films Ltd. for the streaming platform, and there are several talented producers behind the project, including writer Emma Moran, Woodward Gentle, Rusbridger and Lee Morris.
Anya Taylor-Joy will not only be the main star but will also work as an executive producer. The same is true for the author of the novel, who has signed on as a co-executive producer of the series.
