As it happens week after week, Netflix keeps adding new titles to its catalog, and in recent days, one of them has been a shark thriller that could easily compete with Steven Spielberg’s Jaws.

This is “Under Paris“, the new suspense and action film directed by Xavier Gens. Belonging to the horror and drama genre, the project tells a story that will leave you on the edge of your seat minute by minute.

It was released on the streaming giant on June 5, so it has only been on the platform for two days and has already become the most-watched title so far, both globally and in the United States.

The plot centers on Sophia, a brilliant scientist who discovers that a large shark is swimming in the depths of the Seine River just as Paris prepares to host the World Triathlon Championships.

As the shark threat becomes imminent, Sophia joins forces with Mika, a young environmental activist, and Adil, a commander of the Seine River police, to prevent a catastrophe in the city.

The drama is not only complex but also, if you’re attracted to elevated titles in the genre, it is the ideal option to watch. It mixes action, suspense and the right touch of horror that makes the movie super interesting.
