For one thing, Deadpool seems to exist in both the primary “Earth-616” universe—where the Avengers fight Thanos and more—and “Earth-10005,” which is the setting for the X-Men movies. The Avengers and X-Men aren’t part of the same universe (at least not yet), so they are separated by these metafictional boundaries.
