Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” is not only one of the most anticipated movies of the year, but also many mega-important stars from the original cast will be returning for the sequel, 36 years after the start of the franchise.

Tim Burton will return as the director, while Jenna Ortega (Wednesday and Miller’s Girl) will be the new protagonist of the horror comedy, which will follow the young girl and the ghost who returns once again to haunt.

The gothic drama, which was scripted by Alfred Gough (Smallville and Spider-Man 2) and Miles Millar (Into the Badlands), finally has its premiere scheduled for September 6, almost 25 years after its development began.
