As in every Mad Max installment, the soundtrack is a crucial component for complementing the atmosphere and narrative, capturing the intensity and drama of the post-apocalyptic world.

The characteristic style, which blends electronic music with orchestral elements, has been perfect for capturing the adrenaline and epic nature of the saga, which has now expanded with Furiosa.

The prequel is once again directed by George Miller and this time stars Anya Taylor-Joy along with Chris Hemsworth as Dr. Dementus, Tom Burke as Praetorian Jack and Nathan Jones as Rictus Erectus.

Who composed the soundtrack for Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga?

The composer and performer of the Furiosa soundtrack is Tom Holkenborg, who is no stranger to such projects and is known for his work on movies like Deadpool and Divergent.

The Dutch record producer is also a DJ and often works under the pseudonym Junkie XL, so each of the songs he created for the score is credited to him under this name.

The official soundtrack, which features a total of 18 tracks, is now available for streaming on platforms like Spotify and iTunes. It had its grand debut along with the film’s release in theaters.

This is not the first time the composer and director George Miller have worked together, as their first collaboration was on Mad Max: Fury Road. During an interview with the musician, he talked about his role and said:

“My collaboration with the incredible George Miller began over a decade ago with our work on Mad Max: Fury Road, a project that marked a pivotal moment in my career as a film composer.

Returning to this world to score the odyssey of Furiosa, an epic tale of survival, resilience and revenge has been just as eye-opening and gratifying. Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga is a testament to the vision of a singular film maker, whose pursuit of excellence always inspires me to push my creative limits”.
