What role did Elsa Pataky play in Furiosa?
Elsa Pataky is part of the long list of stars who have taken on roles in Furiosa, the new sensation from George Miller that is expected to become one of the most popular movies of 2024…
First, the actress played Vuvalini General, a warrior from the Vuvalini tribe, whose mission is to rescue young Furiosa after she is kidnapped by Demeter, as well as to try to preserve the secret of their community.
Then, she portrayed the fearsome Mr. Norton, one of Demeter’s henchmen, fighting for control of the few resources the wasteland offers. The fact that she had two roles was the director’s own doing.
During an interview with Fotogramas, the Spanish star confessed that “They are two different characters”. She then added how she came to play two such distinct roles in the same film, saying:
“George Miller asked me if I wanted to play Vuvalini, which was a small role, and then he offered me the other because he knew I rode motorcycles and horses. He said they would be perfect for me”.
