The comedy thriller “A Simple Favor,” starring Blake Lively and Anna Kendrick, is the second most-watched movie on Netflix in the United States, according to FlixPatrol. The film is only behind “Madame Web,” with Dakota Johnson.
The comedy is directed by Paul Feig, who is known for titles such as “Bridesmaids” (2011), “The Heat” (2013), “Spy” (2015), “Ghostbusters” (2016) and “Last Christmas” (2019). It is based on the novel of the same name by Darcey Bell, and adapted by Jessica Sharzer.

Thanks to the good results of the first one, Amazon is now behind a sequel, which will be released directly to Prime Video. According to Variety, the sequel will follow Stephanie and Emily as they travel to the beautiful island of Capri, Italy, for Emily’s grand wedding to a rich Italian businessman.
