<p>The highly anticipated <strong>“Mickey 17,” </strong>starring <strong>Robert Pattinson</strong> and directed by Bong Joon-ho, has been delayed indefinitely, <strong>Variety</strong> reports. The film was slated to be released on March 29. Now, Warner Bros. has moved the release of <strong>“Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire”</strong> for that date.</p>



<p>According to the outlet, sources say that the decision to delay the film was made to <em><strong>“allow more time to finish the project, which had been affected due to last year’s strikes and other various production shifts.”</strong></em> There’s no new date for the release.</p>



<p>This is the first project for the director since <strong>“Parasite</strong>” (2019), which became the highest-grossing Korean film in history. It was also the first non-English language movie to win <strong>best picture at the Oscars. </strong></p>



<h2>What is ‘Mickey17’ about?</h2>



<p>The sci-fi thriller is an adaptation of Edward Ashton’s novel “Mickey7.” The film follows Pattinson’s as an<strong> “expendable,” </strong>which is a disposable employee on a human expedition sent to colonize a world made of ice called Niflheim. However, he refuses to let his replacement clone take his place.</p>

Actually, it’s titled<strong> “The Mandalorian &amp; Grogu”</strong> so you can also expect the return of <strong>Baby Yoda.</strong></p>



<p>According to <strong>Variety,</strong> the film will go into production later in the year. Favreau, who also created the series, said in a statement shared by the outlet that,<em> “The prospect of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is extremely exciting.”</em></p>



<p>The Mandalorian, which has three seasons available on Disney+, stars <strong>Pedro Pascal </strong>as the titular role. There are no details regarding if the film will follow the series or how it will fit the timeline of the whole Star Wars universe. However, the series was renewed for a fourth season as well.</p>



<h2>The Mandalorian film is not the only upcoming film for the franchise</h2>



<p>Since the release of <strong>“Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker</strong>” in 2019, which raked in $1 billion worldwide, several films have been announced, including movies from director Patty Jenkins and “Marvel” producer Kevin Feige, nothing concrete materialized.</p>

<p><strong>Margot Robbie</strong> and <strong>Ryan Gosling</strong> will share the screen once again in the upcoming <strong>“Ocean’s Eleven” prequel</strong>, which will be produced by Robbie’s banner LuckyChap, with her husband <strong>Tom Ackerley.</strong> However, the pair has debunked one of the ongoing rumors about the project in a recent interview with Variety: that Gosling and Robbie would play<strong> Danny Ocean’s parents.</strong></p>



<p>Talking with Variety about the success of LuckyChap, which is not only behind “Barbie” but also behind <strong>Emerald Fennell’s “Saltburn</strong>,” Robbie and Ackerley were asked about the upcoming Ocean’s Eleven prequel, which will be directed by<strong> Jay Roach</strong> (Austin Powers, Meet the Parents).</p>



<p>After interviewer<strong> Angelique Jackson</strong> said that <strong>George Clooney,</strong> who played Danny Ocean in the original films, mentioned <strong>“it made sense” that Gosling and Robbie would play his character’s parents</strong>, Ackerley and Robbie were quick to say that is a rumor that <strong>they haven’t confirmed or denied.</strong></p>



<h2>The Ocean’s Eleven prequel’s script hasn’t been finished</h2>



<p>After hearing Clooney’s praise, Robbie said that she was <em>“chuffed to hear that. <strong>That is extremely high praise.</strong> Wow, how exciting!” </em>However, Ackerley cleared up that <em>“[it] wasn’t a plot point that we’ve confirmed or denied. <strong>We’re still working on the script.</strong>”</em> The screenplay is being written by <strong>Carrie Solomon</strong>, who recently worked on Netflix’s upcoming ro-com “A Family Affair.”</p>



<p>Robbie added: “<em>So I don’t know who his parents will ultimately be or not be…,” </em>with Ackerley saying that they don’t know <strong><em>“if their parents are even in the movie.”</em></strong> So, while fans were excited to picture Robbie and Gosling as Ocean’s parents, there’s no real indication that the story will go there (at least, for now).</p>

<p>However, according to journalist <strong>Lindsey Bahr</strong>, director Jay Roach has confirmed that the prequel will be set in <strong>Monte Carlo in 1962. </strong>He said that Robbie described it as an<em><strong> “old-fashioned epic love story slash adventure disguised as a heist movie.” </strong></em>If that wasn’t enough to catch your attention, he and Robbie have also said it has been inspired by Alfred Hitchcock’s “<strong>To Catch A Thief” </strong>and “<strong>Notorious.”</strong></p>



<h2>Roach praises Robbie and Gosling’s chemistry</h2>



<p>Of course, having Robbie and Gosling working together right after the massive success of “Barbie” is a double-edged sword. While they are electric together, audiences might still be attached to their Barbie and Ken characters. And that’s something that Roach considered.</p>



<p>According to Bahr, Roach said <strong>“there were some questions” </strong>about having the pair star together again after “Barbie,” but he thinks <strong><em>“there’s just some pairings you want to see over and over again.</em></strong><em> It’s such a powerful, powerful duo, you know? And it’s the suspense of will they come together; will they trust each other enough to team up? That’s romantic.”</em></p>

While the final scene teased an upcoming appearance of Joker, portrayed by Barry Keoghan, it seems like the story will take a different direction. <p>The film would feature several villains from the rogues gallery, including: Scarecrow, Professor Pyg, Clayface and Hush. <p>Meanwhile, filming is scheduled to start in March 2024, as revealed by Midgard Times. The film is set to be released on October 3, 2025. In the meantime, fans are also waiting for the release of the spin-off series, “The Penguin,” which stars Farrell as the iconic villain and follows his rise in Gotham a week after the events of the first film.</p>

<p>During the promotion of The Batman, Robert Pattinson teased that he would love to do a Court of Owl story. Talking about how fan theories helped his preparation for the character in a video of Vanity Fair, Pattinson said that they were “extremely” helpful.</p>

<h2>She’s All That (1999)</h2>



<p>Teen movies based on classics are always iconic. In this case, this film is a modern adaptation of George Bernarnd Shaw’s play Pygmalion. It follows Zack Siler, played by Freddie Prinze Jr., who makes a bet with his friend that he could make any girl at his high school popular. Enter Laney Boggs, played by Rachel Leigh Cook.</p>

<p>In the film, Laney is unpopular, but she is interested in art and it’s timid. However, while Zack gets to know her, he falls for her. It’s true that some scenes are now too cliché (the “makeover” and “removing the glasses to show you’re beautiful”), but it is still a great teen rom-com.</p>



<h2>Real Genius (1985)</h2>



<p>Featuring Val Kilmer and Gabriel Jarret, the movie takes place at Pacific Tech, a science and engineering university akin to Caltech. The story revolves around Chris Knight (played by Kilmer), a senior-year genius, who teams up with a new student named Mitch Taylor (Jarret) to collaborate on a project involving a chemical laser.</p>

<p>The film centers around the founding of Facebook and its founders Mark Zuckerberg ( Jesse Eisenberg), Eduardo Severin (Andrew Garfield) and more. The movie really showcases how these smart, complaining, self-centered men came to define the world we live in today, for better or worse.</p>



<h2>Scott Pilgrim vs. The World (2010)</h2>



<p>One of the characters that helped change the paradigm from the classic nerd to the “cool nerd” was Scott Pilgrim. Portrayed by Michael Cera, Scott is a slacker musician who is trying to win a competition to get a record deal while also battling the seven evil exes of his newest girlfriend Ramona Flowers ( Mary Elizabeth Winstead).</p>
