Scary Movie is not just a great franchise of comedy and horror films but has become a unique class of productions. For nostalgic fans, the arrival of a new installment has been confirmed.

The sixth part will begin filming during 2024, and although the filming location has not yet been determined, it is believed to have multiple options for parody this time, such as The Purge and Winnie the Pooh.

Paramount and Miramax are joining forces to develop the next movie that will bring back to life the iconic saga, which starred celebrities like Anna Faris, who always played main characters.

Will Anna Faris return for Scary Movie 6?

Anna Faris (The House Bunny and Mom) has been one of the main stars of Scary Movie since the first installment debuted on the big screen in 2000, marking the beginning of an era and the franchise.

As expected, since the arrival of a sixth movie was announced, many fans have been wondering about her presence and if she will return to play the lead role, as she has done previously in all but the 5th film.

So far, the actress has not announced her possible cameo or involvement in the project. However, many are eager to see her alongside some of her co-stars, such as Marlon Wayans and Regina Hall.

When will Scary Movie 6 be released?

“Scary Movie” does not have an exact release date yet, but it has been confirmed to arrive at some point in 2025, as filming will begin during 2024. The project is still being developed and is in pre-production.

Paramount will be the production company responsible for the film in collaboration with Neal H. Moritz, known for his work on Fast and Furious. Additionally, it will have financial backing from Miramax.
