When is Smile 2 released?

The highly anticipated sequel to Smile has not only finished filming but its worldwide cinema debut date has been revealed. The upcoming movie is scheduled to premiere on October 18, 2024.

The cast is led by Naomi Scott (Aladdin and Lemonade Mouth), but she’s not the only big star in major roles—quite the opposite. The actress was joined by Dylan Gelula, Lukas Gage and Kyle Gallner.

It was also confirmed that Rosemarie DeWitt, Peter Jacobson, Raúl Castillo and Miles Gutierrez-Riley are part of the project in undisclosed roles. Undoubtedly, it will be one of the most anticipated titles of the year.

Parker Finn will return to direct the new installment, and during CinemaCon, a first preview was shown. According to Slash Film, the story will be even more disturbing than the first. The site reported:

“After glimpses of her singer performances, the footage shows Scott’s character startled when a man (played by Lukas Gage) bursts into her dressing room and grins creepily at her. Elsewhere in the video, she confronts a child with braces who displays a similarly sinister smile.

Like the demon’s camouflage effect in It Follows, the smiling demon will be hard for a pop star to spot, as celebrities tend to be constantly surrounded by publicists, fans, and flatterers, all of them with grand influences”.
