Wicked’s rumored cast salary

The first part of Wicked began filming in late 2022 at stunning locations and has already wrapped up. Screen Rant confirmed that its budget has been $145 million, which was to be expected as it also needs to cover salaries.

Ariana Grande is not only one of the film’s lead stars but also one of the most popular artists in the world. This means she was unlikely to receive a small paycheck for participating in the musical directed by Jon M. Chu.

Although she hasn’t discussed her official salary, Showbiz Galore reported that the actress could have received around $15 million for her role as Glinda, making her the highest-paid cast member of the project.

This places Cynthia Erivo in second place, as she was cast to play Elphaba and is believed to have earned around $2 million. The difference between the two is substantial, but nothing has been officially confirmed.
