F1” by Joseph Kosinski is not only one of the most hyped movies of 2024 but also one of the most anticipated of 2025, as it focuses on the collaboration and rivalry between a veteran driver and a young prodigy.

The production team includes Jerry Bruckheimer, a producer known for hits like Pirates of the Caribbean and Top Gun, as well as Lewis Hamilton, the famous Formula 1 driver who will also make his acting debut.

Brad Pitt (Once Upon a Time in Hollywood) and Damson Idris (Snowfall) will star in the story as Sonny Hayes and Joshua Pearce, accompanied by some real-life drivers, such as Carlos Sainz.

Is the F1 movie based on real events?

Brad Pitt‘s upcoming “F1” movie is inspired by the world of auto racing, but it is not based on a specific real-life story; instead, it takes elements from the sport to create a fictional narrative.

The plot follows a veteran driver who comes out of retirement to compete alongside a young prodigy. The project is backed by Formula 1, which will provide authenticity and access to real events and circuits.
