Since its release on March 14, “Taylor Swift: The Eras Tour” film has been the number one movie on Disney+ worldwide. However, this week, according to FlixPatrol, an old favorite has returned to the top spot: Elemental.
The Pixar’s feature is once again the most-watched movie on the platform, a feat that it achieved back in September 2023 after its premiere. At the time, it became the most-viewed animated film premiere on Disney+ since “Turning Red” with 26.4 million views in its first five days of streaming.

To many, the first official romantic comedy from Pixar, “Elemental” follows fire element Ember Lumen and water element Wade Ripple, as they join forces and learn about each other while trying to save the convenience store owned by Ember’s father.
‘Elemental’ was a sleeper-hit at the box office
After premiering in Cannes, there was a surprising negative reaction to the film, with many critics calling it Pixar’s worst work. However, and despite initial low projections, the movie grossed over $496.4 million worldwide.
Meanwhile, critically, the reception has changed over time, and now it’s mostly positive. The film was also nominated for several awards, including the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature and the Golden Globe Award for Best Animated Feature Film.
“Elemental,” directed by Peter Sohn, stars the voices of Leah Lewis, Mamoudou Athie, Ronnie del Carmen, Shila Ommi, Wendi McLendon-Covey, and Catherine O’Hara. The story was written by Sohn, John Hoberg, Kat Likkel, and Brenda Hsueh.
