After her breakout role as “Priscilla” in Sofia Coppola’s biographical film of the same name, Cailee Spaeny is set to continue her rise in Hollywood. First, with Alex Garland’s drama “Civil War” but also with other several upcoming projects.

The 25-year-old star received great reviews for both projects, even earning a Golden Globe nomination for “Priscilla.” Other of her credits include the movies “Pacific Rim: Uprising” (2018), “On the Basis of Sex” (2018) and “Bad Times at the El Royale” (2018).

Spaeny stars as Rain Carradine in the seventh installment of the “Alien” franchise. The film is set between the events of Alien (1979) and Aliens (1986), and it follows a group of young space colonists who discover the most terrifying life form in the universe while scavenging a derelict space station.

Apart from Spaeny, the movie stars David Jonsson, Archie Renaux, Isabela Merced, Spike Fearn, and Aileen Wu. It is directed by Fede Álvarez, who co-wrote the script with Rodo Sayagues.

Knives Out 3: Wake Up Dead Man | 2025

Spaeny is one of the many stars joining the third installment of the mystery-comedy, which will follow Detective Benoit Blanc, played by Daniel Craig, in another case. Rian Johnson is also coming back as writer and director.
