Warner Bros. has confirmed that they’re working on a sequel of “Practical Magic,” which starred Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock as two witch sisters dealing with a familiar curse. Despite being a commercial failure, earning less than its $75 million budget, it’s evident that the same fate won’t happen to the second installment, given the original movie’s cult following. A few months ago, it was announced that “The Seven Dials Mystery”, the novel by Christie that revisits characters from “The Secret of Chimneys”, will be adapted into a series. This won’t mark the first adaptation, as a movie directed by Tony Wharmby was released in 1981.



The new show will be brought to life by “The Crown” producer Suzanne Mackie, with the writing helmed by Chris Chibnall, known for “Broadchurch”, and direction by Chris Sweeney, noted for his work on “The Tourist” with Jamie Dornan.



<h2>Who will be the cast of ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’?</h2>



For now, only three names have been revealed for the cast. Leading the ensemble is Mia McKenna-Bruce, recognized for her role as Linda in “Last Train to Christmas.” She is set to portray Lady Eileen “Bundle” Brent, a character deeply entangled in unraveling a murder mystery at her family’s estate, while also uncovering a clandestine secret society.

<h2>When will ‘The Seven Dials Mystery’ be released on Netflix?</h2>



Although no specific release date has been announced for “The Seven Dials Mystery”, we can estimate its premiere based on its production timeline which, according to Variety, is set to begin this summer.



If filming starts and wraps up between June and September, the series could potentially be released in December this year or in the first months of 2025. The latter seems more likely, given Netflix’s already packed schedule for the second half of the year.

Rachel Sennott is known for her work in comedies such as “Bottoms,” which she co-wrote and starred in alongside <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/ayo-edebiri">Ayo Edebiri</a>, “Shiva Baby” and “Bodies Bodies Bodies.” And the star’s latest film, “I Used To Be Funny,” a dramedy, comes to further prove that she is one to watch.



“I Used To Be Funny” was written and directed by Ally Pankiw, in her directorial debut. The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">drama</a>-comedy premiered at the 2023 South by Southwest festival, as well as having its Canadian premier at the 2023 Inside Out Film and Video Festival, where it won the Audience Award for best narrative feature film.



The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movie</a> stars Sennott as Sam, a stand-up comedian living in Toronto who is struggling with depression that has impacted her career after Brooke (Olga Petsa), a young girl for whom she previously served as a nanny, goes missing.

Netflix will add the movie to its catalog on September 5th, 2024. The movie is set to arrive on Netflix shortly after its limited release in select theaters and on VOD. For now the film is available to rent or buy on Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Youtube, Apple and more.



According to What’s New on Netflix, it’s anticipated that the movie will only be available on Netflix in the United States, as Utopia is the sole distributor. However, with multiple international distributors involved, it’s possible that other regions may receive the movie at a later date.

The film, which Komasa co-wrote alongside screenwriter Lori Rosene-Gambino, follows a formerly close knit family torn apart upon the rise of a new movement called “The Change” sweeping through the country.

Dynevor will star in an upcoming untitled shark thriller distributed by Sony Pictures, and directed by Tommy Wirkola, who most recently was behind David Harbour-starring Christmas action movie Violent Night.



She will appear opposite Whitney Peak, who is known for the recent Gossip Girl reboot. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the feature will begin shooting in Melbourne in July. The show originally premiered in 2020, and it was created and written by Mark Bomback and directed by Morten Tyldum.

The actor told ThePlaylist.net back in 2020 that he is “fascinated by how you can bury it, you can silence it, but you always hear that echo. It changes you. It has its way with you.” He also described his character Any as someone who “has spent the majority of his life trying to muffle this guilt he feels,” and that he is affected by how his “son can feel the same type of guilt in a myriad of ways.”



Meanwhile, creator Mark Bomback told The Hollywood Reporter that his main focus wasn’t to answer the question of if the son did it or didn’t do it, but he was more interested in “trying to create for the viewer this very subjective experience of what his parents are going through.”
