In an interview with NPR, Scott Turow revealed that he drew inspiration for his stories by consulting with experts in the field. For example, when writing “Innocent,” his 2010 novel that continues Rusty Sabich’s story, he spoke with many professionals in order to write his book. He explained:

“I talked to a toxicologist named Jerry Leikin and a pathologist, Michael Kaufman, and I would just tell them what I needed. I needed, you know, a death that could be mistaken for natural causes and I described what ailments the victim had and they would give me suggestions.” Turow even admitted that some details in the sequel were inspired by a real-life case, though he preferred to keep specific details under wraps. This suggests that “Presumed Innocent” might also have drawn from real cases, given its intricate and realistic narrative. One closely resembling case is that of Thomas Capano, a prominent attorney and former state prosecutor, who was convicted of murdering his mistress, Anne Marie Fahey. Capano was found guilty and sentenced to life in prison. Another similar one is that of Fred Tokars, a former prosecutor and defense attorney implicated in the murder of his wife, Sara Tokars. Fred was found to have hired a hitman to kill Sara, leading to his conviction and life sentence. These real-life cases bear significant resemblance to the themes and events depicted in Turow’s tale, adding a layer of authenticity and intrigue to his work, even though the author has never explicitly referenced any specific situation as the inspiration for his stories.

Brian Skiba (The Christmas Truce and Dead Man’s Hand) was in charge of directing and writing the script, which is set in a town called Redemption and follows reformed gunslinger Keller and the mad genius Ben.



Both are guided by the spiritual leader Jericho towards redemption. As they confront their violent pasts, their newfound peace is challenged by violence and revenge.



Costas Mandylor portrays Jericho, while Stephen Dorff plays Keller. The three stars will be joined by Heather Graham, William McNamara, Bre Blair and Scarlet Rose Stallone, among others.



<h3>The Prince | May 10, 2025</h3>



Cameron Van Hoy (Tragedy Girls and Crash) will direct “The Prince“, Nicolas Cage’s new starring role, while David Mamet (House of Games and Wag the Dog) will write the script. The film will hit theaters on May 10, 2025.

The story chronicles the journey of a recovering addict through the underworld of drugs, his struggles with addiction, his intense ups and downs, and his path to sobriety.



<h3>The Carpenter’s Son | TBA</h3>



Despite “<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/nicolas-cages-upcoming-horror-movie-the-carpenters-son-all-that-is-known">The Carpenter’s Son</a>” seeming to be a drama, it is quite the opposite, as it belongs to the horror genre. Nicolas Cage has joined the project in an undisclosed role but will be accompanied by great stars.



FKA twigs, Noah Jupe and Souheila Yacoub are the only ones confirmed so far. Lotfy Nathan will direct and write the <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/thriller">thriller</a>, but at the moment, it’s only known to be in pre-production.



The story follows a family hiding in Roman Egypt. The son, known as “the Boy”, doubts his tutor, “the Carpenter”, and rebels with mysterious powers. As he uses his abilities, they confront natural and divine horrors.

Nicolas Cage, <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/bill-skarsgard">Bill Skarsgård</a> and Laura Harrier are set to star in the new drama film “Lord of War“, directed and written by Andrew Niccol, which hasn’t yet been scheduled for release as it’s still in pre-production.



The story follows Yuri Orlov, the world’s most famous arms dealer, who discovers he has a son, Anton, who is creating a mercenary army to serve the United States, triggering a rivalry between father and son.



<h3>Noir | TBA</h3>



“<a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/prime-video/spider-man-noir-series-with-nicolas-cage-all-the-news-about-the-live-action">Noir</a>” is one of Cage’s upcoming projects that will bring him to television, as it is a Marvel <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/series">series</a> that will focus on the dark version of the iconic arachnid superhero: Spider-Man.



This isn’t the first time the actor has portrayed him, as he previously provided his voice during Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in 2018. This time, the production will be in live-action format, so there won’t be animations.



The official plot has not yet been revealed, but IMDb has assured that the story will follow the alternative version of Spider-Man emerging in a Depression-era New York City.



<h3>Madden | TBA</h3>



Nicolas has been cast to play John Madden in the movie directed by David O. Russell, titled “Madden”. The upcoming project will be a hybrid, partly a biopic and partly a making-of the game.



According to The Hollywood Reporter, the film will tell the story of the origins of Madden NFL, one of the most important video game franchises of all time, which continues to thrive to this day.
