Prime Video has been betting on horror dramas that delve into the minds of its viewers and aim to leave a mark on each of them. “Coweb” is one of them and this week it became the 7th most-watched worldwide.

Lizzy Caplan stars in the movie, alongside Woody Norman and Cleopatra Coleman. Each of their characters brings great intensity to the narrative, which is filled with unexpected twists and disturbing moments.

Samuel Bodin directed it, based on a script by Chris Thomas Devlin, and it had its big premiere in 2023, but now it has become trending again, thanks to users of the streaming giant around the world.

Coweb is the Prime Video’s 7th most-watched movie

Coweb has not only become the seventh most-watched movie on Prime Video worldwide, but it has also been the subject of conversation among platform users, especially due to its somewhat disturbing and graphic scenes.

Flix Patrol, the specialized streaming service site, reported that the title gained a place within the Top 10 in several countries and has also displaced other productions, such as the Oscar-nominated “Anatomy of a Fall“.

Terror, mystery and suspense are the three elements overflowing in the movie. With a duration of an hour and a half, it takes its viewers on an experience into the depths of their fears.

The story follows Peter, an eight-year-old boy, and terror unfolds when he tries to investigate the mysterious knocking noises coming from inside the walls of his house and a dark secret that his sinister parents were hiding from him.

Lizzy Caplan brings Carol to life, while Woody Norman portrays Peter, the young protagonist of the plot. The cast included several familiar faces, among them Cleopatra Coleman, Antony Starr, Luke Busey and Jay Rincon.
