Loosely based on the acclaimed video game “Silent Hill 2,” the picture follows James Sunderland, played by Jeremy Irvine, as he returns to the haunted town in search of his lost love. Hannah Emily Anderson will portray Mary, while Evie Templeton has been confirmed as Laura, a key figure in the game’s emotionally layered storyline.
The plot centers on James receiving a mysterious letter from his presumed-dead partner, pulling him back into the fog-choked town of Silent Hill. As he navigates the twisted streets and faces disturbing creatures, James is forced to confront not only supernatural threats but the fragile limits of his own sanity.
Despite production delays, Gans revealed in early 2025 that the movie was completed just days before his interview. Shot across Serbia and Germany, including locations like Munich and Lake Ammer, the flick is set to offer a visually rich and haunting return to one of horror gaming’s most iconic settings.
