<p>The top 3 of <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a></strong>’s most-watched list of <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a></strong> in the US (as for Feb. 14th) is still topped by “Lover, Stalker, Killer,” “American Assassin” and “Horrible Bosses 2.” However, a new <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/drama">drama</a> </strong>has entered the Top 10: <strong>“Blueback,”</strong> starring <strong>Mia Wasikowska</strong> and <strong>Eric Bana</strong>.</p>



<p>According to <strong>FlixPatrol</strong>, the film, which was originally released in 2022, is currently the <strong>eight most watched</strong> in the US. The movie follows Abby, a girl who befriends a wild blue groper and becomes a passionate activist for protecting the ecosystem of <strong>Australia’s coral reefs</strong> from destruction.</p>



<p>The film was directed by <strong>Robert Connolly</strong>, from a screenplay written by Connolly and <strong>Tim Winton,</strong> based on Winton’s 1997 novel of the same name. According to what the author said to ABC (Australia), the book “just slipped out,” as it was a <em>“lovely experience” </em>to write.</p>

<h2>Blueback: Difference between the book and the film</h2>



<p>While the film and the novel follow the same plot, there are some differences between the original story and the adaptation. One of them, it’s the change of gender of its protagonist. <strong>However, the essence of the original </strong>is still present in the movie.</p>



<p>One of the main messages of ‘Blueback’ is the<strong> relationship between humans and the environment,</strong> and how corporations usually don’t care about the damage their business may cause the planet.</p>

<p>The cast also includes Ilsa Fogg, Ariel Donoghue, Radha Mitchell, Liz Alexander, Clarence Ryan, Pedrea Jackson, Erik Thomson, Eddie Baroo, Albert Mwangi, Dalip Sondhi, and Nick Paranamos.</p>



<p>“Blueback” received positive reviews from critics, and it currently holds a score of <strong>72 percent on Rotten Tomatoes</strong>. According to the critics’ consensus, the film’s narrative can feel “preachy” but the movie’s visuals and message are worth the watch.</p>

<p><strong>Millie Bobby Brown</strong> isn’t slowing down anytime soon, as the star is set to appear in several upcoming projects. One of her most anticipated <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies">movies</a></strong> is <strong>“Damsel,” </strong>which will premiere on <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/netflix">Netflix</a></strong> on March 8, 2024. And the streamer has finally released its first trailer.</p>



<p>The film, directed by <strong>Juan Carlos Fresnadillo</strong>, stars Brown as the titular Damsel, <strong>Princess Elodie</strong>. However, don’t expect to see her following the clichéd tropes of the <strong>fairytale genre</strong>, as she will become a warrior to recover her life.</p>

<p>According to the trailer, Princess Elodie agrees to marry a Prince (Robinson), to <strong>fulfill her royal duty</strong>. While her step-mother (Bassett) warns her that she doesn’t trust him or his family, she still goes on with the wedding… Only to be cast into a cave guarded by a dragon.</p>

<p>“Damsel” certainly joins other films and series which seek to subvert the classic trope of<strong> “damsel in distress,” </strong>such as the newest versions of “Snow White” starring <strong>Kristen Stewart </strong>and<strong> Lily Collins</strong> (awaiting for Rachel Zegler’s take), as well as <strong>Hulu’s “The Princess”</strong> (starring Joey King).</p>



<p>According to Collider, director Fresnadillo praised Bobby Brown for her performance, calling it “exceptional.” He said that <em>“She understood that this needed to be an extreme survival experience. <strong>And in order to make that believable, you have to convey suffering and pain</strong>. This is a movie about a transformation – about a girl becoming a woman – and you need to really feel the intensity of it,”</em> as the outlet reports.</p>



<h2>Bobby Brown is used to play strong characters</h2>



<p>Bobby Brown rose to fame as Eleven in <strong>“Stranger Things,” </strong>a role she will reprise in the upcoming fifth and final season of the series. The last chapter of the sci-fi show is currently filming, and <strong>it’s expected to be released next year.</strong></p>
