<p>According to FlixPatrol, the movie is the <strong>tenth most watched in the US this week.</strong> <strong>James Foley, </strong>who is now best-known for directing the two “50 Shades of Grey” sequels, helmed the film. It was written by<strong> Christopher C. Crowe</strong>, who has had a prolific career in film and TV, thanks to titles such as “Manhunt,” “The Watchers” or “Seven Days.”</p>



<p>Apart from Wahlberg and Witherspoon, the movie starred <strong>William Petersen, Alyssa Milano</strong> and <strong>Amy Brenneman. </strong>At the time of its release, “Fear” was panned by critics but it became a <strong>sleeper-hit </strong>at the box office, <strong>grossing $20 million.</strong></p>



<h2>‘Fear,’ a cult thriller film from the 90s</h2>



<p>The movie, which was compared to<strong> “Fatal Attraction”</strong> by its own producer, became a teen sensation, mainly thanks to the “idol” status of its young stars. The story follows a wealthy 16-year-old girl who starts dating a good-looking man named David, who turns out to be an <strong>abusive partner.</strong></p>

<p>Despite the initial reaction, the movie now is considered one of the best teen thrillers. And, apart from the performances of its leads, the movie has received praise for the tension between the characters, and the<strong> intensity of the sequences.</strong></p>



<p>On the other hand, it didn’t hurt for the movie’s popularity that Wahlberg, who was 25 at the time of the release, and Witherspoon, 20, <strong>were dating in real life.</strong> However, the film could have gone very differently, as Leonardo DiCaprio was also considered for the role of David, but he ultimately didn’t believe he was right for it.</p>



<h2>A ‘Fear’ remake is in the works</h2>



<p>In 2022, it was confirmed that <strong>Peacock</strong> was working on a series based on the film. The show is being developed by <strong>Jessica Goldberg,</strong> who created Hulu’s series “The Path.” The series is supposed to be set in the present day, as well as put a “modern” spin into the story.</p>

Bayona </strong>directed the film, while <strong>Jaime Marques</strong> and <strong>Nicolás Casariego</strong> adapted the screenplay, which is based on the book written by <strong>Pablo Vierci</strong>. The cast is filled with great talents, such as <strong>Enzo Vogrincic</strong>, <strong>Matías Recalt</strong> and <strong>Agustín Pardella</strong>.</p>



<p>The drama managed to be nominated for two Academy Awards: Best International Feature Film, representing Spain, and Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling.</p>

<p><strong>The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar</strong> is the short film that features top-notch stars in its cast. <strong>Benedict Cumberbatch</strong> brings the main character, Henry, to life. Meanwhile, <strong>Ralph Fiennes</strong>, <strong>Dev Patel</strong>, <strong>Ben Kingsley</strong> and <strong>Jarvis Cocker</strong> accompanied him.</p>



<p>It was directed by <strong>Wes Anderson</strong>, who also adapted the screenplay for the screen based on a story written by<strong> Roald Dahl</strong>. This follows Henry Sugar, who can see through objects and predict the future with the help of a book he has stolen.</p>

<p><strong>May December </strong>not only stars two great actresses but is also inspired by one of the most controversial romances of recent years. <strong>Todd Haynes</strong> directed the film, while <strong>Samy Burch</strong> and <strong>Alex Mechanik</strong> wrote the screenplay.</p>



<p>“Twenty years after their notorious tabloid romance seized the nation, a married couple faces pressure when an actress arrives to research for a movie about their past”, describes the official synopsis.</p>

<p><strong>Julianne Moore</strong> brings Gracie to life, while <strong>Natalie Portman</strong> portrays Elizabeth. Both were accompanied by <strong>Charles Melton</strong>, who had a significant role as Joe Yoo. <strong>Chris Tenzis</strong>, <strong>Gabriel Chung</strong> and <strong>Elizabeth Yu</strong> were also present.</p>



<p>The drama will be competing in the Best Original Screenplay category at the 2024 Oscars, where it could emerge victorious and beat out contenders like Anatomy of the Fall, Past Lives, The Holdovers or Maestro.</p>



<h4>Nyad</h4>



<p><strong>Nyad</strong> is a biopic that premiered in October 2023, portraying the extraordinary true story of athlete Diana Nyad, who, at the age of 60, with the help of her best friend and coach, commits to achieving her lifelong dream: swimming 110 miles in open water from Cuba to Florida.</p>

<p><strong>Jimmy Chin</strong> and <strong>Elizabeth Chai Vasarhelyi</strong> directed the film, which was scripted by <strong>Julia Cox</strong> and, of course, <strong>Diana Nyad</strong> herself. <strong>Jodie Foster </strong>brought Bonnie Stoll to life, while <strong>Annette Bening</strong> portrayed the athlete.</p>



<p>The emotionally charged project was so acclaimed that it is currently competing in two categories at the 2024 Academy Awards. The two lead stars, Foster and Bening, earned nominations in Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role and Best Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role, respectively.</p>



<h4>American Symphony</h4>

<p>Batiste will be performing on the Oscars stage, where his biopic is also competing in the category of Best Achievement in Music Written for Motion Pictures (Original Song) for “It Never Went Away”. That same melody will be performed by him along with a large band.</p>



<h4>The After</h4>



<p><strong>The After </strong>is the drama directed by Misan Harriman that managed to garner recognition at the 2024 Academy Awards, being nominated in the category of Best Live Action Short Film. <h4>Rustin</h4>

<h2>When will Bridgerton Season 3 premiere?</h2>



<p>The series created by <strong>Chris Van Dusen</strong> and based on the literary saga by <strong>Julia Quinn</strong> will debut its third season on May 16, 2024. This will be the first part, consisting of only four episodes. The second part will be released on the Netflix catalog on June 13, 2024, and will also include four episodes.</p>

<p>Despite doubts about which actors would return for the third season of Bridgerton, the reality is that almost all will be present, except for <strong>Phoebe Dynevor</strong> and <strong>Regé-Jean Page</strong>, who had not been actively involved in the storyline based on the relationship of Anthony and Kate.</p>

<p>This time, leading the plot are <strong>Luke Newton</strong> and <strong>Nicola Coughlan</strong>, who will once again bring to life Colin, the third Bridgerton sibling, and Penelope Featherington. In addition to these two, it has been confirmed that <strong>Simone Ashley</strong>, <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/jonathan-bailey">Jonathan Bailey</a></strong>,<strong> Claudia Jessie</strong> and <strong>Luke Thompson</strong> will accompany the protagonists.</p>



<p>As always, one who cannot be absent is <strong>Adjoa Andoh</strong> in the role of Lady Danbury, <strong>Julie Andrews</strong> as Lady Whistledown (the iconic narrator from the early episodes), <strong>Ruth Gemmell</strong> as Lady Violet Bridgerton, <strong>Florence Hunt</strong> as Hyacinth Bridgerton, <strong>Harriet Cains</strong> as Philippa Featherington and <strong>Bessie Carter</strong> as Prudence Featherington.</p>
