Netflix has once again updated its Top 10 worldwide, and now it's the touching "Letters to God" that has become the ninth most-viewed on the platform. Here, check out everything about its new position.

Religious films usually come hand in hand with an emotional plot that leads to reflection… Well, “Letters to God” is no exception and is based on the true story of Tyler Doughtie, who was diagnosed with brain cancer.

The 2010 drama directed by David Nixon and Patrick Doughtie has once again become a trend, ten years after its release. This week, it has become one of the most-watched films on Netflix, ranking in at number 9.

The touching title has touched the hearts of many viewers with its inspiring message and representation of faith in the midst of difficulty. Bailee Madison is the one who brings to life one of the main characters, Samantha Perryfield.

Letters to God ranked #9 on Netflix worldwide

Letters to God is the new trend on Netflix that has shone again 14 years after its theatrical release. Not only does it hold the number 9 spot on the Top 10 worldwide, but it is also one of the most viewed movies.

The platform-specialized site, Flix Patrol, reported that the title has not only earned a place in the ranking but has also displaced other productions on the service, such as “Crisis” starring Gary Oldman and Armie Hammer.

The narrative is inspired by the emotional true story of Tyler Doughtie, who was diagnosed with brain cancer at the age of eight. To cope with his illness and find comfort, he begins writing letters to God.

The story portrays these letters, which not only help him but also have an impact on the people who find and read them. One of the main characters, a mailman named Brady, is especially affected by them and begins to reassess his own life.

The movie explores themes of faith, hope, love, and community as it follows Tyler’s emotional journey and the people around him. As the story unfolds, the characters undergo profound changes in their lives thanks to the influence of the letters and their bravery in the face of adversity.

Tanner Maguire portrays Tyler, while Bailee Madison (Just Go with It, Pretty Little Liars: Original Sin and The Night Before Halloween) known for her great talent in dramas from a young age, plays Samantha Perryfield.

Jeffrey Johnson, Robyn Lively, Christopher Schmidt, Lisa Curtis and Lyanna Tumaneng accompany the youngsters during the scenes. The cast is filled with both established stars and young talents.
