Rest in Peace is not only a success in Argentina but has reached worldwide acclaim, being ranked as the fifth most-watched movie on Netflix in multiple countries, surpassing Fighter in the Top 10.
According to Flix Patrol, the Spanish-speaking production premiered just over a week ago and has surpassed many popular titles on the platform that have been in the ranking for several days, such as Ford v Ferrari.
The suspense and action thriller was produced by several well-known faces, but one of the most prominent was Ricardo Darín, who is also an actor and was one of the protagonists of the Oscar-nominated film, “Argentina, 1985”.
The story follows Sergio, who is facing increasing financial and health problems, but a twist of fate offers him the opportunity to secure his family’s future. The price? Disappearing forever.
Throughout the scenes, the 90s return with a strong impact, addressing one of the many crises the country had to face. But this man’s case is exceptional because he does everything rather than see his family ruined.
Joaquín Furriel is the one who brings the main character to life, while Griselda Siciliani portrays Estela Dayan, the wife. The cast is quite extensive, but those who stood out were Lali González and Gabriel Goity, among others.
