Therefore, it’s no surprise that he is one of the protagonists of Netflix‘s new trend, which despite not having premiered in 2024, continues to accumulate views in multiple parts of the world.

Beast” is the action and adventure drama that has become the ninth most-watched movie on the platform globally, surpassing other big titles like the romantic comedy “I’ll See You in My Dreams” with Blythe Danner.

Beast” is the new thriller that has become one of the most-chosen movies of the weekend and this morning it became the most-watched on Netflix worldwide, competing in the Top 10.

According to the specialized site Flix Patrol, the action drama starring Idris Elba has surpassed its own record of views and has earned a spot in the ranking of the most popular of the week.

The story follows a father and his two teenage daughters who are pursued by a massive rebellious lion trying to prove that the Savannah has only one predator. With the help of a doctor, they attempt to survive.

Despite usually seeing the actor in tough and even unbeatable roles, this time we see another facet: a much more sensitive side, the need to overcome grief and the desperation to survive at all costs.

Elba portrays Dr. Nate Samuels, one of the main characters, but he is not the only star present in the cast. Also appearing are Martin Munro, Iyana Halley, Sharlto Copley and Leah Jeffries.
