<p>The movie first premiered at the <strong>2023 Cannes Festival</strong>, in the Directors’ Fortnight section. It was written by <strong>Nick Pinkerton</strong> and directed by <strong>Sean Price Williams</strong>, both in their debuts. Williams is known for being the cinematographer of Safdie brothers’ highly-acclaimed film <strong>“Good Time.”</strong></p>

<h2>What is ‘The Sweet East’ about?</h2>



<p>The movie follows <strong>Lillian (Ryder)</strong>, as she’s on a trip to Washington D.C. with the rest of her high school class, when an armed man enters a local restaurant with the intention of stopping the supposed abuse happening in the basement. The scene is a direct reference to the <strong>“Pizzagate” conspiracy theory</strong>.</p>



<p>Lillian will be “rescued” by left-wing political activist Caleb (Cave), who brings her to a home <strong>where he lives with other dissidents.</strong> From then on, Lillian decides to not return home and she goes on a journey to the <strong>Eastern part of the US.</strong></p>

<p>However, the point of the film is to examine modern America, and its complexities. Critics have praised Williams’ <strong>narrative and visual style</strong>. However, not everyone is impressed with the result. <strong>Chase Hutchinson</strong> wrote for <em>Collider </em>that <em>“the longer you look at what can be potent visuals, the more you realize how <strong>empty the film itself is,”</strong></em> adding that it doesn’t leave any “real” impression.</p>

<p>Both stories revolve around a young prince who must face the tragedy of his father’s murder and deal with the consequences. The relationship between Mufasa and Simba reflects the relationship between King Hamlet and Prince Hamlet, as the death of the father has a significant impact on both protagonists.</p>



<p>Similarly, like in the classic play, the film addresses themes of betrayal and revenge. Scar, Simba’s malevolent uncle, conspires to usurp the throne, similar to how Claudius, Hamlet’s uncle, conspires to kill King Hamlet.</p>

<p>The remake of <strong>The Crow</strong> now has a release date and will debut on the big screen on <strong>August 23,</strong> <strong>2024 </strong>after being delayed by a month. <p>The new version of the classic is a modern reimagining of the beloved character, The Crow, strictly based on James O’Barr’s original graphic novel. Therefore, the story will once again follow the paranormal and justice-seeking journey of Eric Draven.</p>



<p>Draven is a rock musician who is brutally murdered along with his fiancée Shelly on the eve of their wedding. After his death, he is resurrected thanks to the intervention of a mystical crow. Guided by the crow, he returns to life with supernatural abilities and a thirst for revenge against those who caused his and his fiancée’s death.</p>

<p>The story revolves around Eric’s quest to avenge his own death and the injustice he suffered, confronting the criminals responsible for his misfortunes. Before long, he becomes a supernatural vigilante, known for his distinctive appearance with facial makeup that mimics a crow.</p>



<p>In the original movie, Eric and Shelly’s deaths happen within the first few minutes of the drama, but this time, <strong>Rupert Sanders</strong> confessed to Vanity Fair that he always wanted his version to have a bit more balance between light and darkness.</p>

<p>Costner, who won two <strong>Academy Awards</strong> for another epic Western “Dancing With Wolves,” has revealed the first trailer of the first chapter of “Horizon,” which will be distributed by Warner Bros. <p>And the director and actor didn’t hesitate to do whatever he needed to bring it to life. In the presentation of the first trailer, the star verified the reports that the actor had mortgaged real estate in order to collect <strong>$100 million</strong> to shoot the first two <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">films</a></strong> in the franchise.</p>



<h2>What is ‘Horizon: An American Saga’ about?</h2>



<p>The films will explore four years of the <strong>Civil War, from 1861 to 1865</strong>, following different characters (it reportedly has 150 speaking roles) as they navigate the conflict. According to Costner himself, and as we can see in the first trailer, the story will follow the known formula of <strong>“man-comes-to-town” </strong>but he will go deeper.</p>

<h2>Is ‘Poor Things’ available on streaming?</h2>



<p><strong>Poor Things will arrive on digital on Feb. 27th</strong>, meaning that it will be available to buy on platforms such as Amazon Prime Video, AppleTV, Vudu, Youtube and more. However, according to <strong><em>Decider</em></strong>, the movie won’t be available to rent jus<strong>t yet, but instead on March 12</strong>, per a Disney representative.</p>

<p>The story will follow Aang, Katara, Sokka, Zuko and Toph in their late 20s to early 30s. According to Hindustan Times, <strong>Avatar Studios</strong> plans to release this new project and a program every year, expanding the franchise significantly.</p>



<p>The movie will be the studio’s first project, launched by <strong>Nickelodeon</strong> in partnership with <strong>Paramount+</strong> in 2021 to expand the universe.<strong> Michael Dante DiMartino</strong> and <strong>Bryan Konietzko </strong>are also working on it.</p>



<p>So far, this is all that is known about the upcoming release, but it is estimated that the search for actors who can lend their voices will begin soon, or if the stars who brought the characters to life before will return once again.</p>

<p>Originally scheduled for release on December 1, there was a drastic change by the studio. However, this could not be carried out because it was rescheduled after <strong>Beyonce</strong> and AMC joined forces to release the Renaissance concert film on the same date.</p>



<p>Directed by the filmmaker responsible for <em>Midnight Special</em>, the story is set in the 1960s and narrates the rise and challenges of a motorcycle enthusiasts’ club in the Midwest called Vandals. The film explores the complexities of each member’s life and what it means to be part of the club.</p>



<h2>Jeff Nichols talked about the film’s plot and Austin Butler</h2>



<p>According to Deadline, the director didn’t undertake the drama overnight but spent almost two decades contemplating how to approach what would become <strong>The Bikeriders</strong>, as he didn’t want to glamorize motorcycle culture.</p>



<p><strong>Jeff Nichols</strong> based the story on the work of photojournalist <strong>Danny Lyon</strong>, who rode with and photographed the <strong>Chicago Outlaws Motorcycle Club</strong> for two years, starting in 1963. In an interview with the outlet, the filmmaker confessed:</p>



<p><em>“Portraits can be beautiful and captivating, but it’s those words on the page, that’s where the conflict arises. There’s toughness, there’s roughness. There’s also beauty in that. I’ve always been drawn to stories and people of the working class and seeing how they look at the world and approach things and the honesty and clarity, at times, that they have, but there’s also a sharper edge to all of that</em>“.</p>

<p>The director’s choice of <strong>Austin Butler</strong> for the lead role, bringing Benny to life, wasn’t too difficult, especially considering the actor’s charisma and talent in front of the cameras.</p>



<p>Variety reported that Nichols spoke about the Dune star and revealed his first impression of the young actor, saying, <em>“I was at this restaurant, and he walked up and shook my hand. He’s like 6-foot-3, and his hair is blonde and didn’t look like Elvis’ hair. I was immediately struck by the fact that this was the most attractive person I’ve ever met in my life</em>“.</p>



<p>Later, when asked about the character and Austin’s work on it, he confirmed, <em>“I needed a character that the audience would not question that this woman Kathy and this man Johnny would put so much into. He’s like an empty glass of water. They pour all of this stuff into him, and he just can’t hold it. He doesn’t want to hold it, and that’s where his acting chops come in</em>“.</p>
