Ryan Gosling is coming from an incredible 2023, after earning praise and critical acclaim for his performance as Ken in Greta Gerwig’s Barbie. Among the film’s eight Oscar nominations, he received a nod for Best Supporting Actor, which marks his third nomination for an Academy Award.

While the Canadian is set to keep promoting the film as a part of the awards’ campaign, he is set to leave the “kenergy” behind for new roles. Gosling has already enjoyed a prolific, successful career with great roles in titles such as La La Land, Blade Runner 2049, Drive, The Nice Guys and more.

However, after a few years in which he slowed down a little bit, he is set to keep appearing in big-budget movies, embracing his full “movie star” era. So, here’s everything that is in store for Gosling in the upcoming year and beyond.

All Ryan Gosling’s upcoming roles

The Fall Guy (March 1, 2024)

Gosling’s first upcoming role is “The Fall Guy,” in which he stars alongside Emily Blunt, Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Stephanie Hsu. The movie, directed by David Leitch, follows a stuntman who gets embroiled in a crime involving the star of the film he is working in. Judging from the trailer, it will blend action, comedy and romance.

Project Hail Mary (2025)

The actor will produce and star in Project Hail Mary, based on the novel of the same name by Andy Weir, which is centered on a solitary astronaut on a spaceship who is trying to save Earth. The project was announced back in 2021, but is still in pre-production. Phil Lord and Christopher Miller are attached to direct.

Ocean’s Eleven prequel (TBD)

Gosling is set to star alongside Margot Robbie once again in the “Ocean’s Eleven” prequel, which the actress is also producing. The project is set in 1962 Monaco, and it’s going to be a homage to classic films such as Alfred Hitchcock’s “To Catch A Thief” and “Notorious.” Jay Roach will direct.

The Gray Man sequel (TBD)

While there are not many details about plot, Gosling is also set to reprise his role as Six in Netflix’s The Gray Man sequel. He will be joined by Ana de Armas, Regé-Jean Page, and Jessica Henwick, who are all set to return. The project has been officially announced by Netflix.
