In this installment, Pearl is stuck on her family’s remote farm and has to take care of her sick father while her strict and bitter mother watches over her. She dreams of a glamorous life like the ones she sees in movies and will do anything to succeed.



Most critics agreed that “Pearl” was better than its predecessor, even comparing Mia Goth’s acting to that of Shelley Duvall in “The Shining.” Additionally, it was a box office hit, grossing $10 million worldwide against the initial $1 million budget.

This is Gracie Atherton-Yoo, a woman who gained fame for having a romantic relationship with a minor when she was 36. As they coexist, secrets from Gracie’s past begin to dangerously surface.



Starring Julianne Moore as Gracie and Natalie Portman as Elizabeth, the film also features the outstanding performance of Charles Melton as Joe Yoo, marking his leap to cult pictures.



While it wasn’t hailed as one of Haynes’ best works by reviewers, it garnered astonishing critical acclaim. David Ehrlich of IndieWire described “May December” as “a heartbreakingly sincere piece of high camp that teases real human drama from the stuff of tabloid sensationalism.”
