What could be funnier than Kevin Hart? A Kevin Hart movie where he plays a fictionalized version of himself. In just one day, “Die Hart 2: Die Harter” became the most-watched title on Prime Video worldwide.

This is the second installment of the “Die Hart” series, which originally debuted on Quibi in 2020 and was edited into a movie-length film last year. Between these two productions, there was also a second season of the original show, which aired on Roku after Quibi’s shutdown.

Eric Appel, known for directing “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story,” returns to direct “Die Hart 2: Die Harter,” continuing his work from the entire “Die Hart” series. He is joined by screenwriter Tripper Clancy, who also comes back to collaborate with the renowned comedian.

‘Die Hart 2: Die Harter’ is the new Top 1 movie on Prime Video worldwide

It’s undeniable that everything Kevin Hart makes turns to instant gold. Thus, it’s no surprise to see “Die Hart 2: Die Harter” ranking as the #1 movie on Prime Video globally.

According to FlixPatrol, it managed to dethrone “The Idea of You” from the top spot within hours. The sequel also massively outperformed “The Blue Angels” in viewership, despite the ongoing Glen Powell fever.

In this second installment, Hart aims to solidify his legacy as the greatest action star of all time. He has developed a concept for a groundbreaking movie where the action is so unpredictable and unscripted that even Kevin won’t know what will happen next. However, Kevin’s vision has a blind spot, and he soon becomes the victim of an evil revenge plot orchestrated by someone from his past.

Of course, he plays the lead role, but, as in previous installments, a star-studded cast joins him. Nathalie Emmanuel, Ben Schwartz, Paula Pell, and John Cena are just some of the celebrities joining him in this disastrous adventure.

Both critics and audiences have reviewed the comedy as a great flick to watch if you want to laugh for an hour and a half. So, if you are a fan of Kevin Hart’s humor, this is the title you should stream next.
