It appears that Travis Kelce is branching out from his American Football career into new ventures. After landing a role in Ryan Murphy’s upcoming series “Grotesquerie” for his screen debut, Kelce has expressed interest in pursuing an acting career.
But that’s not all. In April, he also took on the role of host for Amazon’s forthcoming game show, “Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?”, and is delving into production with the war dramedy “My Dead Friend Zoe.”
Kelce has been seen wearing a hat from the movie “Happy Gilmore” at Coachella on April 13, sparking speculation about his involvement in the recently announced Netflix sequel. Kelce addressed these rumors definitively in a recent episode of the “New Heights With Jason and Travis Kelce” podcast. Here, his words on the issue.
Will Travis Kelce have a role in ‘Happy Gilmore 2’?
In the podcast conversation, Taylor Swift’s boyfriend, Travis Kelce, reiterated his interest in pursuing movie deals. Specifically, when discussing “Happy Gilmore 2,” he said, “I’ll do anything in the movie. I’ll be a part of it any way I possibly can.”

Would Adam Sandler take him on for the sequel? It’s quite possible! Sandler has a history of collaborating with a diverse range of actors, from established stars like Al Pacino and Kate Beckinsale to newcomers like Peter Dante in “The Waterboy” and Allen Covert in “Happy Gilmore.” This could be a great opportunity for Kelce to mark the start of his film career with a solid title.
Moreover, Sandler’s films frequently feature cameos from celebrities across various fields, specially athletes. NFL players, in particular, have made notable appearances in his movies.
For example, “The Longest Yard” includes NFL stars like Michael Irvin, Terry Crews, and Brian Bosworth. All signs point to a strong possibility that the Kansas City Chiefs tight end might indeed make an appearance in “Happy Gilmore 2.”
