<p>Cuoco, who also produces the film, stars as Emma, an internationally wanted <strong>contract killer </strong>living under a false name in suburban New Jersey and married for 7 years to Dave (Oyelowo). However, when they attempted to “role play” in New York City for their wedding anniversary, things go awry as another assassin (Bill Nighy) recognizes Emma.</p>

Despite its popularity on the platform, the movie received mostly negative reviews from critics, scoring a <strong>19% of approval on Rotten Tomatoes.</strong></p>

<p>Garth Davis’ <strong>Foe</strong> is one of the most watched movies on <strong>Prime Video</strong> this week, just behind Saltburn, according to FlixPatrol. The film was released on Jan. 5, and it stars Oscar-nominated actors <strong>Paul Mescal</strong> and <strong>Saoirse Ronan</strong>.</p>



<p>It’s a sci-fi psychological thriller which follows a married couple, Hen and Junior, living on a farm in the near future. Their lives take an unexpected turn when a visitor reveals that Terrence will embark on a space mission, and Hen will be provided with an <strong>AI companion</strong> during his absence.</p>



<p>The script, co-written by <strong>Davis and Iain Reid</strong>, is based on Reid’s 2018 novel of the same name. It premiered back in September at the New York Film Festival, and it had a theatrical run. While it didn’t make much noise at the box office, it seems like it will be one of the hits for the platform.</p>



<h2>Foe wasn’t well received by critics</h2>



<p>Part of the reason that the film didn’t do well at the box office is that it wasn’t well received by critics. It currently has a <strong>23% of approval on the review aggregator website Rotten Tomatoes</strong>. Some reviews called the film “constrived,” “melodramatic” and not entirely original.</p>

<p>However, all the critics agree that Mescal and Ronan’s performances elevate the material, even a crazy plot twist by the end of the film. It’s not surprising, especially as both Irish actors are some of the most acclaimed of their generation.</p>



<p>This is Ronan’s most recent feature, after starring in the comedy See How They Run (2022). She has two other projects in post-production. One is the historical drama <strong>Blitz</strong>, which will be directed by Steve MQueen, and the other is <strong>The Outrun</strong>, which she is also producing.</p>



<p>Meanwhile, Mescal is currently promoting the fantasy drama <strong>All Of Us Strangers</strong>, in which he stars alongside Andrew Scott, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell. He already filmed <strong>Gladiator’s sequel</strong>, directed by Ridley Scott.</p>

<p><strong>Ayo Edebiri</strong> is one of the most interesting young talents in Hollywood thanks to an incredible 2023 in which she appeared in several <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">films</a></strong> and <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/series"><strong>series</strong>.</a> Of course, she is most known for her role as Sydney in<strong> “The Bear,”</strong> for which she just won a <strong>Golden Globe</strong> award, but one of her best works was the teen comedy <strong>“Bottoms,”</strong> which you can watch on <strong>Prime Video.</strong></p>



<p>The film is Emma Seligman’s sophomore feature. Seligman co-wrote the script with collaborator Rachel Sennott, who also stars alongside Edebiri. It follows two queer teens who create a self-defense club to flirt with popular cheerleaders.</p>



<p>While bombing at the box office, the film received critical acclaim for its humor and performances. It was also well received due to its ability to feel contemporary yet evoking a nostalgia from early 2000s teen movies.</p>



<h2>Bottoms was one of Edebiri’s acclaimed performances of 2023</h2>



<p>“Bottoms” was one of Edeberi’s most acclaimed performances of the past year, however, the film suffered from the lack of promotion due to the SAG-AFTRA and WGA strike. <p>Aaprt from “Bottoms,” she voiced roles in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem, as well as having a supporting role in the musical comedy <strong>“Theater Camp” </strong>(which is available to watch on Hulu).</p>

<p><strong>Alan Ritchson </strong>has returned as <strong>Jack Reacher</strong> in <strong>Prime Video</strong>’s second season of <strong>‘Reacher’. </strong>The first episodes are already available to stream on the platform, but there are still two more before the big finale. Here’s all you need to know about the schedule.</p>



<p>The second season is based on Bad Luck and Trouble (2007), the eleventh book of <strong>Lee Child’s series. </strong>The story follows Reacher as he investigates and seeks revenge for the murders of his old military unit.</p>



<p>This time, Ritchson is accompanied by Serinda Swan as Karla Dixon, Shaun Sipos as David O’Donnell, Ferdinand Kingsley as A.M., and Robert Patrick as Shane Langston. From Season 1, the returning character is <strong>Frances Neagley </strong>(Maria Sten), who was one of Reacher’s old squadmates on his military police team.</p>

<p>If you love the series, you will be thrilled to learn that Reacher will have a third season, as confirmed by Ritchson on a video ahead of Season 2 premiere. “<em>December’s the season of hot cocoa and smiles and now Reacher,” </em>he explained. <em>“That’s right, Season Two of Reacher premieres December 15th on Prime Video. In an interview with Another Magazine, <strong>Emerald Fennell</strong> explained that she drew inspiration from some gothic books, such as LP Hartley’s <em>The Go-Between</em>, Ian McEwan’s <em>Atonement</em> and Evelyn Waugh’s <em>Brideshead Revisited</em>.</p>

<h2>Who was in charge of the score and how is it composed?</h2>

This time, the score was composed by <strong>Anthony Willis</strong>, who also worked on the music for <em>Promising Young Woman</em>, Fennell’s directorial debut.</p>
