One of the most streamed series on Prime Video in the US is the historical drama “Belgravia,” which has climbed to the Top 2. The British series is just behind the action thriller “Reacher,” which is the number one show.
“Belgravia,” based on the 2016 novel of the same name by Julian Fellowes, is produced by the team behind the successful “Downton Abbey.” It’s a limited series with only six episodes, which was released in 2020.

Prime Video’s ‘Role Play’ is the number 1 movie in the US three days after its release
Originally, the show aired on Epix in the US, but now that it is available on Prime Video, it has gained a new life. John Alexander, known for other historical dramas such as “Sense and Sensibility,” directed the series. Here’s all you need to know.
What is ‘Belgravia’ about?
Both the series and the novel are named after the affluent district of London. The story is set in the 19th century, during the Victorian era. It follows the Trenchard family, whose lives have been marked by the events that took place at the Duchess of Richmond’s ball, which was held in Brussels for the Duke of Wellington on the eve of the Battle of Quatre Bras, two days before the Battle of Waterloo.
The series has an ensemble cast that includes Philip Glenister as James Trenchard, Tamsin Greig as Anne Trenchard, Richard Goulding as Oliver Trenchard, son of James and Anne; Emily Reid as Sophia Trenchard, daughter of James and Anne; and Alice Eve as Susan Trenchard, wife of Oliver.
Other members of the cast include Paul Ritter, Saskia Reeves, Bronagh Gallagher, Tom Wilkinson, Harriet Walter, Jeremy Neumark Jones, James Fleet, Diana Hardcastle, Adam James, among others.
Does the series have a continuation?
While “Belgravia” is a limited series, and it can be watched entirely and have a full ending, the series has a continuation in “Belgravia: The Next Chapter,” a new series that takes place several decades after the events of the original.
