According to Flix Patrol, the romantic comedy scripted by Dan Lagana and Rudy Mancuso has managed to surpass other important productions in record time, such as Ricky Stanicky starring Zac Efron.
The romantic drama has not only made a great impression among users but has also stood out on Rotten Tomatoes, where it received a rare 100% rating, with seven reviews.
Camila Mendes brings Isabella to life, while Mancuso portrays Randy (yes, they have the same name because it is inspired by his real-life). What added an extra layer was their connection, as they are a real-life couple.
During an interview with Film Updates, the actor and first-time filmmaker talked about the role his girlfriend, the Riverdale actress (where she played Veronica), took on. There, he referred to the casting choice and confessed:
“She was really the top dream choice for a long time and it just came down to, does she respond to the material? Was she going to be available because of her busy Riverdale shooting schedule? And we got really lucky that both of those things happened. She responded to the material and she was available, and she ended up really elevating it”.
