Since its premiere on Paramount+ in 2021, “Mayor of Kingstown” has consistently ranked among the top favorites of its users. The series has garnered such strong viewership that it has thrived across three seasons, with the latest having just premiered.

The show led by Jeremmy Renner follows the McLusky family, owners of a powerful empire in Kingstown, Michigan, where the incarceration business is the sole prospering industry. Delving into themes of systemic racism, corruption, and inequality, its plot offers a raw look of their efforts to bring order and justice to a city that lacks both.

Despite the new season having just aired its first episode, fans are already speculating about the possibility of another season in the future. Here, all that its known.

Indeed, the series appears far from reaching its conclusion. With the introduction of a new face from the Russian Mob into the narrative, it seems unlikely that Mike will dispose of the mafia in just one season. In fact, it could serve as the perfect opportunity to further expand this beloved title.

However, if an announcement were to be made, it wouldn’t be in the near future. Paramount+ typically waits a few months before announcing new seasons. For example, the third season of “Mayor of Kingstown” was announced in September 2023, nine months after the second season aired in January.

Furthermore, Jeremy Renner currently has only three upcoming projects on his agenda, leaving ample room to accommodate filming for a potential fourth part of the series. Additionally, he has expressed his deep appreciation for the show numerous times, citing it as a source of motivation while healing from his life-threatening accident. In an interview with Screen Rant, he shared:

“I always had to have something to look forward to. My recovery was like, I needed something to look forward to. It was another step. The idea of wanting to do Mayor of Kingstown was something to, in the distance, maybe get back on my feet again.”

Ultimately, while the development of the plot for the third season remains a mystery, it’s evident that Jeremy Renner holds a deep affection for the show and would readily return to it. Moreover, if Paramount+ producers observe continued trending of the show both in the US and worldwide, it’s highly likely that the production will be renewed for another installment.
