Is Time Cut based on a book?

Time Cut is not based on a book, but is an original screenplay co-written by Hannah Macpherson and Michael T. Kennedy, who are known for their work on Freaky and the series Into the Dark.

The movie blends elements of time travel with the slasher genre, making it a unique thriller, especially due to the strong performances of its two main stars: Madison Bailey (Outer Banks) and Antonia Gentry (Ginny & Georgia).

The story follows a teenage girl, Lucy Field, who uses a time machine to travel back to the early 2000s in an attempt to prevent her sister, Summer Field, from being murdered by a ruthless killer.

The drama, which will be released on October 30, promises a mix of science fiction and teen horror, featuring Bailey as she faces both the challenges of high school and the dangers posed by a time-traveling killer.
