“3 Body Problem” arrived on Netflix’s catalog just a day ago and it has not only become one of the strongest trends currently, but it’s the fourth most-watched series on the platform in the United States and the second worldwide.
According to reports from Flix Patrol, the title has taken the place of other big original productions from the streaming giant in a matter of hours, and among the most notable was “Physical: 100”.
David Benioff, DB Weiss and Alexander Woo were the ones in charge of carrying out the project, which is based on the Chinese novel “The Three-Body Problem”, written by Liu Cixin and published in 2008.
This isn’t the first time the story has been adapted for the screen; it’s actually the second live-action adaptation after the 2023 Chinese television series titled “Three-Body”, which consisted of 30 episodes in total.
The narrative portrays humanity’s first contact with an alien civilization, showing how humanity is vulnerable to the same external threat and chaos begins to rapidly escalate in their lives.
