<h2>What is Queer about?</h2>



The movie will portray the story of William Lee, a man who escaped a drug raid in New Orleans and now wanders through the clubs and bars of Mexico City, where he falls madly in love with a former U.S. military man named Allerton.



After the publication of the LGBT romance novel, speculation arose about how real the events in the story are, and many of them are of an autobiographical nature.



The novel is influenced by Burroughs’ experiences in Mexico in the 1940s, including his relationship with a young man named Allerton, who serves as inspiration for the character of Allerton in the work.

<h2>When will Queer be released?</h2>



Queer will have its long-awaited big-screen debut near the end of 2024. Although there is no exact date confirmed yet, it was announced that there are only a few months of waiting, as filming began in the summer of 2023 in Italy.



Both Drew and Daniel gave interviews to GQ just a few days ago, and there they took the time to talk about their new project together. The young actor referred to what it was like to work on the drama, saying:



“The process of collaborating with someone like Luca is incredibly freeing and funny and absurd. I trusted him completely. I trusted his viewpoint. I would do anything he would say“.

Filling the role of his fiancée Shelly Webster is British singer FKA Twigs, who previously appeared in the dramatic film Honey Boy and the thriller Brighton Beach, with only supporting roles. This will mark her major debut in a leading role.

The story revolves around Eric’s quest to avenge his own death and the injustice he suffered, confronting the criminals responsible for his misfortunes. Before long, he becomes a supernatural vigilante, known for his distinctive appearance with facial makeup that mimics a crow.



In the original movie, Eric and Shelly’s deaths happen within the first few minutes of the drama, but this time, Rupert Sanders confessed to Vanity Fair that he always wanted his version to have a bit more balance between light and darkness.

“I was really curious to find a way to create this character. We want to see an evil person, and to be honest, I really don’t like him, and I really don’t like this family. I cannot understand how they can live next to the camps”.



He then added how he felt, saying, “I really like the way that we find or create … to give these perpetrators a human face. And that was the challenge for me because I had these dark pictures, maybe the historical context. All these dark things in my subconscious“.

During an interview with Above the Line, the director spoke about creating the project that now shines among the titles in the romance genre but emphasized the chemistry between the rom-com’s protagonists, Sydney Sweeney and Glen Powell.



“Honestly, the chemistry I saw between Syd and [Glen]… people always talk about chemistry, that crazy word, but the first time Sydney arrived in Australia that Sunday, straight from Italy after filming her movie ‘Immaculate,’ which is this Italian Vatican movie. She came to Sydney on Sunday, they sat where we were staying, and they started rehearsing, and in about a minute, I thought, ‘Oh my God, thank God. The <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/marvel">Marvel</a> Cinematic Universe finally has its ‘Fantastic Four.’ On Feb. 14th, the studio confirmed the main cast for the upcoming film: <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/pedro-pascal">Pedro Pascal</a> will play Reed Richards/Mr. Fantastic, Vanessa Kirby plays Sue Storm/Invisible Woman, Joseph Quinn is Johnny Storm/The Human Torch and, finally, Ebon Moss-Bachrach will play Ben Grimm/Thing.



Despite all the recent talk of superhero fatigue, fans of the comics have been expecting a reboot of the beloved superheroes for years. Especially after Disney, who also owns Marvel Studios, acquired the rights of the characters in 2019 (after they acquired 21st Century Fox).

Stockard Channing portrays Rizzo, a tough and confident member of the Pink Ladies, known for her rebellious spirit. While she can’t stand Sandy at first, she grows fond of her and eventually becomes a supportive friend. Rizzo’s character undergoes development throughout the story, revealing vulnerability beneath her tough exterior.



<h2>Amber Von Tussle (Hairspray)</h2>



“Hairspray” takes place in Baltimore in 1962. It focuses on Tracy, a teenager who becomes a TV star and stands up against racial segregation. However, the antagonist is Amber Von Tussle, who is played by Brittany Snow.

As Tracy was a plus-sized girl, she also was a defiant of the beauty standards of the time. However, Amber is a privileged and arrogant teen queen who represents the establishment’s ideals.



<h2>Gen (To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before)</h2>



The “To All The Boys” trilogy is a rom-com that subverts some of the classic tropes. Apart from the romance between Lara Jean and Peter, the movies explore other themes such as friendship. And, in that regard, one of the best side characters is the mean girl, Gen.

Portrayed by Emilija Baranac, Gen at first is Lara Jean’s rival, and Peter ex-girlfriend, being mean to her. However, over the course of the two sequels, she and Lara make up and become friends again.

“The Princess Diaries” is one of the most iconic teen movies of the 2000s. While the story is mostly about Mia’s journey from regular teen to princess of Genovia, a big storyline is her relationship with mean girl, Lana.
