After many years of hoping, Channing Tatum (Magic Mike and Step Up)made his big debut as Gambit in the MCU, but not with his own movie. Instead, he was part of the long list of cameos in the new Deadpool & Wolverine.

The actor finally donned the superhero suit, which is known in the comics as a member of the X-Men. The character first appeared in 1990 and has the ability to charge inanimate objects with kinetic energy.

Before the release of the third Deadpool installment, he and his producing partner, Reid Carolin, spent four years working on an independent film for 20th Century Fox, but it did not come to fruition due to the Disney-Fox merger.

Will Gambit get his own Marvel movie?

Channing Tatum has really emphasized his desire to be Gambit, but for many years he was unable to get his own movie off the ground with Marvel Studios. However, Ryan Reynolds included him in Deadpool & Wolverine.

Despite his cameo in the third installment of the movie, it seems that this wasn’t his only contribution as the mutant in the MCU, as there are indications that a title with him as the lead is actually being developed

His interest is part of his passion for the character, but so far, the project has not materialized into a concrete release. Despite this, the idea of Tatum as Gambit remains a topic of discussion among comic book fans.
