The British star has been chosen to bring He-Man to life in the upcoming live-action film. So far, he is the only major figure confirmed for the cast, so the project is still in development.
Before joining the film, several names had been confirmed for his role, including Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) and Kyle Allen (West Side Story), but both quickly dropped out of the drama, leaving the way clear.

Variety confirmed on the afternoon of Wednesday, May 29, that the movie already has a scheduled release date and, if all goes well, it will hit the big screen on June 5, 2026. So, there are still two years to go.
The action drama has been in development for over two decades and has finally managed to move forward, under the direction of Travis Knight and the production of Amazon MGM Studios and Mattel Films.
Will ‘Masters of the Universe’ arrive on streaming?
Well, it’s still too early to know if it will arrive on streaming, but it’s most likely that it will have its big debut on one of the most well-known platforms currently: Prime Video, especially since it’s produced by Amazon.
Usually, it takes a few months before it’s added to the catalog, especially if the project is doing well at the box office and in theaters. So, it’s estimated that it would arrive on the service almost towards the end of 2026.
