'The Idea of You' soundtrack: What songs are featured in the romantic drama?

<p>The first trailer of <strong>“The Idea Of You,”</strong> the <strong>rom-com</strong> starring <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/anne-hathaway">Anne Hathaway</a></strong> and <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/nicholas-galitzine">Nicholas Galitzine</a></strong> with major fan-fic vibes, is finally here. And it definitely delivers everything fans of the genre are looking for: romantic escapades, forbidden <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/topic/romance">romances</a></strong>, great outfits and a boy band?</p>



<p>The film, which will be released on <strong>May 2 on Prime Video</strong>, follows Hathaway as Solène, a <strong>40-year-old divorced mother</strong> who happens to encounter Hayes Campbell (Galitzine), the lead singer of <strong>August Moon</strong>, the biggest boy band on the planet, in their trailer at Coachella. And, of course, what follows is a torrid love affair that his devoted fans won’t approve.</p>



<p>If the story of <strong><a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/category/films">film</a></strong> feels somewhat familiar it is probably because you might be thinking of a certain big male pop star, <strong>Harry Styles</strong>, and a certain 39-year-old filmmaker, Olivia Wilde, who happened to be in a relationship that Styles’ fans didn’t approve of (and were very vocal about it). Is “The Idea of You” another fan-fic of the singer? Well, not exactly.</p>

<h2>‘The Idea of You’ author has denied the Harry Styles’ fan-fic accusations</h2>



<p>In 2020, after the book the film is based on became a bestseller, its author <strong>Robinne Lee</strong> talked to Vogue about her inspiration for the story. While fans have identified its male character with the <strong>“Adore You” singer</strong>, the author claimed that was never the intention.</p>



<p><strong><em>“This was never supposed to be a book about Harry Styles,</em></strong>” she told Vogue. <em>“It was supposed to be a story about a woman approaching 40 and reclaiming her sexuality and rediscovering herself,<strong> just at the point that society traditionally writes women off as desirable and viable and whol</strong>e</em>,” she added. </p>



<p>However, she admits taking some inspiration from Styles to create Campbell. <em><strong>“I made him into my dream guy, like Prince Harry, meets Harry [Styles],” </strong></em>as well as getting things from ex-boyfriends and a little of her husband too. And, of course, the film has also made sure to take some things from Styles too, as fans have noticed that the first images are very, very similar to some old <strong>1D shoots.</strong> See for yourself:</p>

<h2>August Moon is not a real band, but they have a real single</h2>



<p>Prime Video has some experience promoting musical-based projects, such as <strong>“Daisy Jones and The Six.”</strong> And, just like in the series, August Moon is not a real boy band, but you will certainly hear a real song. They have already released their first single<strong> “Dance Before We Walk,”</strong> and have social media.</p>

<p>Nicholas Galitzine and <strong>Taylor Zakhar Perez </strong>will be returning to their classic roles as Prince Henry and Alex Claremont-Diaz. It has not yet been revealed whether any of their former castmates, like <strong>Uma Thurman</strong>, will join them.</p>



<p>Amazon MGM Studios is taking charge of bringing this new <a href="https://spoiler.bolavip.com/en/movies/upcoming-rom-coms-in-2024-what-titles-will-be-released-this-year-20240120-SPEN-2381.html?mrfhud=true">romantic comedy</a> to life, with <strong>Matthew López</strong> as the screenwriter, along with the involvement of the original novel’s author, <strong>Casey McQuiston</strong>.</p>



<h3>Masters of the Universe</h3>



<p><strong>Masters of the Universe</strong> is one of the most recent projects Nicholas has added to his schedule. On Wednesday, May 29th, the actor confirmed that he will star in the live-action film, <strong>taking on the role of He-Man</strong>.</p>



<p>The movie is set to debut on the big screen on <strong>June 5, 2026</strong>, so there are still two years to go before we can experience the action-adventure drama based on the iconic animated series and its heroic characters.</p>



<p>The story will follow a prince, stranded on Earth as a child, who years later recovers a magical sword. Returning to Eternia, he battles Skeletor to protect his home but must confront his past to unlock his true power as He-Man.</p>



<p><strong>Travis Knight</strong> (Bumblebee, ParaNorman, and The Six Billion Dollar Man) has been chosen as the director, while <strong>Chris Butler</strong> (Play Dead, The Maid, and Kubo and the Two Strings) will be responsible for developing the script.</p>



<h3>Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective</h3>



<p>“<strong>Three Bags Full: A Sheep Detective Movie</strong>” is the upcoming mystery comedy being developed by Amazon MGM Studios, featuring a stellar cast filled with mega-talented and well-known figures from the industry.</p>



<p>Nicholas is one of them, but he is not the only one; the actor will be accompanied by <strong>Hugh Jackman</strong>, <strong>Emma Thompson</strong>, <strong>Conleth Hill</strong>, <strong>Tosin Cole</strong>, <strong>Hong Chau</strong>, <strong>Nicholas Braun </strong>and <strong>Molly Gordon</strong>, among others.</p>

<p>According to Deadline, the story follows George Hardy, a shepherd who loves his sheep and raises them solely for their wool. Every night, he reads a murder mystery aloud, pretending that his sheep can understand it.</p>



<p>When he is found dead under mysterious circumstances, the sheep immediately realize it was a murder and believe they know everything about how to solve it. Without help from the local police, they leave their meadow for the first time and face the fact that the human world is not so simple.</p>



<h3>100 Nights of Hero</h3>



<p>Nicholas Galitzine has signed on to star in the adaptation of “<strong>100 Nights of Hero</strong>“, based on the graphic novel of the same name by <strong>Isabel Greenberg</strong>. The actor will lead the story in the role of Manfred.</p>



<p>The film will be directed by <strong>Julia Jackman</strong> (Bonus Track), and Deadline reported that the story is essentially a feminist fairy tale inspired by “One Thousand and One Nights”, which is part of the collection of folk tales.</p>



<p>The book follows two women, Cherry and Hero, who are in love. The official synopsis, published by the entertainment industry media outlet, reads as follows:</p>



<p>“<em>Cherry is married to a man named Jerome, who, despite his marriage, makes a bet with his friend, a lecherous villain named Manfred, that Manfred can seduce Cherry in 100 nights.</em></p>



<p><em>If Manfred succeeds, Jerome will hand Cherry over to him. Cherry, however, is not interested and devises a plan with her lover, Hero, who over the course of 100 nights, will tell Manfred a series of captivating stories to distract him from his attempts at seduction</em>“.</p>

<p>Set in aristocratic England, the plot follows <strong>Mary Villiers</strong> and her second son, <strong>George</strong>. Many events are based on real events, such as George’s ascent, but there are others that are a bit more fictional.</p>



<p>According to AMC News and a snippet from the writings of the author and broadcaster, <em>“For a decade, Villiers was at the king’s side: at court, on official occasions, and in bed, until James’s death in March 1625”</em>.</p>

<p>Furthermore, to provide a bit more context, the professional asserted that <em>“The Villiers family, the Dukes of Buckingham, are significant not only during the reign of King James I, but the Dukes of Buckingham continued to play roles in the British royal court during the 19th and 20th centuries</em>“.</p>



<h2>What is Mary &amp; George about?</h2>



<p>Mary is a humble yet highly ambitious woman with above-average intelligence, but she never had the opportunity to fully realize her potential… until she sees the perfect chance to elevate her status.</p>



<p>The key to making this happen is to exploit the king’s voracious appetite for wine, company, and men. This is where her naive, attractive, and charismatic son George comes into play. </p>
