Demi Lovato has not only been preparing to make her directorial debut with an insightful film, but she will also expose everything she endured in her childhood with “Child Star“, which will feature several celebrities.

The documentary examines how some of the most well-known former child stars deconstruct the highs and lows of growing up in the spotlight, and how their rise to fame, wealth, and power affects their future.

The 29-year-old singer was responsible for the project along with Nicola Marsh, who also serves as an executive producer, alongside Scooter Braun, known for representing major figures like Taylor Swift.

How to watch Demi Lovato’s Child Star on streaming

The upcoming documentary film, “Child Star“, is scheduled to premiere on September 17 this year on Hulu. The production will feature current interviews and a wealth of archival footage.

The first teaser has already been released on the official YouTube channel of the streaming service, where we see Demi Lovato revisiting some iconic moments from her career, such as her iconic knee position from “Camp Rock”.

In a style similar to “Quiet On Set”, the informative drama centers on how the entertainment industry can progress, especially with the next generation of child actors, showcasing what happened to the stars.

Several of them, such as Drew Barrymore, candidly reflect on the effects this lifestyle can have on young people’s mental health and how they have overcome the long-term impacts of their stardom.

Demi Lovato, who is one of the directors of the project, spoke about her involvement and what they want to convey with the celebrities. Hulu released a statement in which the singer and actress stated:
