After years of expanding the Godzilla and Kong franchises separately, this year saw the release of a film that brought together the two giants on the big screen and has been a worldwide success, establishing itself as a hit.

Adam Wingard (Death Note and Blair Witch) directs the fantasy drama and adventure, and also co-wrote the screenplay with Simon Barrett and Jeremy Slater. Additionally, Terry Rossio contributed to creating the story.

With a budget of $135 million, the film managed to gross over $571 million at the box office, making it undoubtedly one of the most-watched movies of 2024 so far. Here, check when it will debut online…

When is Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire coming to Max?

It has been confirmed that Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire not only has a streaming release date but has also found a new home outside of the big screen. The drama will join Max‘s catalog on July 5th of this year.

The science fiction story follows Godzilla and Kong, who face a colossal threat hidden deep within the planet, challenging their own existence and the survival of the human race.

After the beginning of 2019, producer Alex García reported that Legendary Pictures was interested in producing more movies of this style, expanding the MonsterVerse, which also included the global hit “Godzilla vs. Kong”.

One of the most notable elements of the fantasy film, in addition to its incredible special effects and animation, has been the performances of the main stars. The cast was filled with talent, and those who had significant roles were:
