Emma Stone is receiving flowers for her role in Yorgos Lathimos’ film “Poor Things,” which is one of the favorites during the 2024 awards season. Stone has already won a Golden Globe and a Critics Choice, and she’s poised to compete for an Oscar. However, the star is also being praised for her most recent work in the series “The Curse.”
According to FlixPatrol, a specialized website which collects viewership data of streaming services, the series is also the third most-watched on Hulu in the US, as it is available on the platform with the Showtime add-on. What is ‘The Curse’ about?
The series follows a newlywed couple, Whitney and Asher (Stone and Fielder), who are focused on bringing their vision for eco-conscious housing to the small community Española, while also trying to conceive a baby.
However, their relationship will be put to test after an alleged curse amid the filming of their controversial reality TV show. They will be caught themselves in a mysterious web of ethical and moral gray zones.
‘The Curse’ received positive critics
The series has been praised by critics, and it has a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes with 66 reviews. However, the finale, which aired on Jan. 12th, was received with mixed reviews, with some criticizing the ending.

Stone was also nominated for a Golden Globe for this role, but lost against Sarah Snook (Succession).
