After 21 years since the successful release of Freaky Friday, it has been announced that the iconic Disney movie will have a sequel, with its two main stars, Lindsay Lohan and Jamie Lee Curtis, returning.

Filming began in June, so images of the actresses in their respective roles have not yet been released. However, it has been confirmed that they will not be the only ones returning.

Nisha Ganatra is directing, while Jordan Weiss adapted the script based on characters created by Leslie Dixon, Heather Hach and Mary Rodgers. If all goes well, the comedy will be released in 2025.
